So I’m back boss. Based on people who were tweeting back then in 2011-2013 when obi was governor is simply what you see today, Obi didn’t give them a dime and they chose to work for the opposition who was ngige. I had this same conversation with someone here sometime last year who said he was serving in anambra state as a youth corper during obi’s tenure and was mostly loved by children and hated by youths in their late 20s and 30s. I asked him and he said because obi was stingy and doesn’t want to release allocations for the youths the same way the past governments always do. These influencers would go online back then speak evil against obi who was working for us kids back then. He made sure we all went to school and was educated in the best way possible while tackling insecurity that ravaged anambra when I was a kid. The man changed our lives

This is the last thing I’ll say on tribe and politics this month. This narrative is deeply dishonest and unnecessarily triggering. Hausa voters largely backed Buhari because he's their baba, many Yorubas supported Tinubu, and even then the Yoruba vote was split, with a significant number of Yoruba youths choosing Obi. Igbos also gave a strong majority of their votes to Obi. Ask the average Igbo person on the street why they support Obi and you’ll often hear that he’s their own, their person deserves to lead, same goes for Hausa towards Buhari and that’s completely VALID. The truth is, many Nigerians tend to support candidates from their own tribe, even when it doesn’t directly benefit them. So singling out Yorubas for something that cuts across all groups is unfair! This tendency toward tribal loyalty is widespread and pretending otherwise is hypocritical

Let Akin Tollgate, for instance, openly criticised Peter Obi, whom he national supported, for lacking political strategy to win elections. No one needs a soothsayer to predict the outrage that would follow the post. You would see them shouting “bigotry” while deliberately overlooking the fact that the dumb Agulu Gbajue, despite his name, can never be equated to his tribe in political discussions.
