Really important hearing from Vicki Burn, Manager, Catering & Accommodation for #COP28UAE on the Culinary Catering Strategy. "The #sustainable catering strategy needs to be inclusive - that is affordable, tasty, and available. ⅔ plant based (vegan or vegetarian) is critical for health and planet. Reducing waste by working with venue partners. Packaging sustainably, which is the biggest challenge we have faced so far. Hard work pays off! Together with @IYCM and @FoodatCOP, we've worked very hard with the #COP28 Presidency to ensure that the food is predominantly #PlantBased. The decision by the presidency sends out a clear call for a global shift to climate-friendly diets. 🌍
