For the love of God could you possibly quit publically wallowing in your self pity? You're going through a divorce? Well boo-hoo. If you're going to survive the things life is going to throw your way, you need inner strength to make it through. People gain inner strength from different places; I got mine from the Marine Corps. and surviving the bad things life threw my way. In 2019 my wife of 33 years now was treated for tonsil cancer. She beat it, but the radiation that beat the cancer killed her jaw bone to the point she had to have an all day surgery by two surgeons to cut the dead bone out, remove good bone from her left tibia and build a new jaw bone. Surgery went great, she would spend a few days in the hospital, then come home. Except God threw a stroke her way that night resulting in brain damage. She spent 9 months that year recovering from the stroke, a gaping open surgery wound, septic arthritis in her left knee, you name it. She is home now. She is frustrated by her limited ability to communicate. She can't drive a car. She barely gets enough food down to stay alive because of all the trachea trauma she suffered. My life is spent working, taking care of her and our house, buying groceries and everything else she would like to do but can't. I don't complain though, because i meant the part of the vow about sickness and health. You may technically be a veteran, but you possess none of the qualities that define a true veteran.
