The exact opposite of what I’d hoped for the opener. An important divisional game right off the bat. No time to break in a young defense or for Mahomes to gain confidence in the knee.

I know it sounds backwards… but the Chiefs running MORE could actually boost Mahomes’ numbers 🔥 Only one season with an RB1 at 16+ carries/game (2018)… And Mahomes averaged more passing yards per game that year than any other in his career 👀

I know everyone (including me) wants the Chiefs to get some offensive help after the team used their first 3 draft picks on defense. However, I would not be opposed at all if the Chiefs took Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy with the 109th pick. I could actually see the Chiefs strongly considering him. The upside is worth the risk if you draft him in the 4th round.
