Latent space is amazing, and "it's just prompts" is a lie Also I'm giving it away for free, so if you want, I can pay you back what you paid me.

@garrytan i was actually really skeptical about gstack but i tried /office-hours and it was pretty good. produced 2 actionable suggestions that i think generally are good ideas.

@garrytan I’ve been most of my pipelines away from being deterministic and toward being agentic for this very reason. But I haven’t been a developer for 20 years so I think it’s allowed me to accept this sooner.

I’ve been using several of your prompts for months (sometimes on an hourly basis) so this is going to save me a lot of copy and pasting 🤣 Got so tired of it, I actually built a pipeline to execute these stages for me. It works most of the time but I’m still copying and pasting Garry prompts regularly. Can’t wait to implement this into my workflow. Thank you!

gstack is available now at github.com/garrytan/gstack Open source, MIT license, let me know if it works for you. It's just one paste to install it on your local Claude Code, and it's a 2nd one to install it in your repo for your teammates.

I've been having such an amazing time with Claude Code I wanted you to be able to have my *exact* skill setup: Introducing gstack, which you can install just by pasting a short piece of text into your Claude code

There must be a pretty significant correlation between the number of times Anthropic has bragged about Claude Code writing almost all their internal code, and the frequency with which their servers have gone down.

Chinese culture and economic strategy in a nutshell. Combine a bazooka of authoritarian money and a population happy to grind into the late hours (just don’t ask them to have kids), and they won’t create new industries or push frontiers; but they will grind you on price/scale

A fully built 1 GW data center complex generates about $31.8M per year in state taxes and $61.5M per year in local taxes from data center operations alone. Also it creates roughly 430 direct jobs at the facility itself, plus many more indirect and construction-phase jobs. consumerenergyalliance.org/cms/wp-content…

John would probably take issue with that :) he has hundreds of reporters and award-winning local coverage. No one is doing local like Community Impact and I've worked around this industry since 1996. The biz model is cool since he delivers everywhere, it's an alternative to direct mail.

@larmbrust @johnpgarrett Maybe there's not a market for it, but this isn't the in-depth reporting I'm talking about. Mostly copy-paste from press releases or public postings from school boards, etc.

Is anyone making this work in the US? - modern version of your local paper - email + website (no print) - local reporting only (no national crap) - real local reporters - like the Metro section from the 1980s - doing serious old-school coverage - subscription paywall + ads business model - for-profit
