@denisebparsons @SenDuckworth This is so funny to me. You need a birth certificate or some alternative proof of citizenship to get a passport. If you already have that, you can just use that to register. No need for a passport.

Under the SAVE Act, you cannot use your driver's license to register to vote. Republicans want you to buy a passport instead. If you can afford one. This is a modern-day poll tax.

@JohnQPinkney @Bitcoin_Teddy Gen Z folks heard how like 10% maybe of boomers were well off then judge an entire generation on it. I remember my parents losing their house living off food stamps and me having to work fulltime while in school. Life wasn’t great for everybody.

@Bitcoin_Teddy Bitch, I was in my twenties IN THE EARLY 80'S. Inflation was 12%. Interest rates were 20%. Unemployment was Ridiculous. Quit whining about how bad you have it. You have no idea.

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

@edgaralandough Well it is a $50k account. You’re just limited to how much of that you can actually lose. Have a look at margin requirements and see how much leverage you’re allowed to use based on account size.

Prop firm traders !!! You are NOT being given $50K. You are being given a $2K loss limit and the illusion of $50,000. Same with $100K accounts — you’re not trading $100K, you’re protecting roughly $3K–$5K of max risk. So here’s how you need to approach it: $50K prop: treat it like a $2K account $100K prop: treat it like a $3K account $200K prop: treat it like a $5K account

@AdameMedia Everytime I see this post the cost of the radar is going up. In a few hours that radar system is going to have cost us our entire defense budget.

@Bryan17761 @UziCryptoo I do think stuff is way more expensive now. But then again younger folks “need” more than us. We didn’t have phone/internet bills. That said, it’s cool to know the weeks of eating only oatmeal pies and ramen noodles was a dream.

Yes, we did actually pay that much for food and shelter. Factor in the dollar value of 40 years ago and it works out the same. We made an average of 5 dollars an hour compared to 20 an hour now. So 4 times.. divide $3200 by 4 and that’s $800 for our rent in 1986.. so you are simply wrong.

An HOA had a tenant’s car towed and sold for about $500 — later discovered it was a rare 1987 Buick, one of only 547 made, valued around $185,000. Imagine You’re away on a business trip. Days later your car is gone — not impounded… sold. Then you learn the buyer just scored a collector vehicle for the price of a used couch. HOA enforcement is supposed to maintain order, not erase someone’s property rights. When paperwork moves faster than communication, the consequences can be irreversible. Should HOAs have the authority to permanently sell a resident’s vehicle over violations — or should courts always be required first? Fortunately in this case, the judge ruled a Judgement of the loss.

@AlBuffalo2nite I bought something the other day…. Do you have an account, No. What’s your email, No. 5 minutes later I had to ask the dude if he would just sell me the item. I got the “I’m just doing my job”. I get they have quotas and that sucks but man it’s getting annoying.

I walked in… Ordered one thing. BLACK COFFEE. No table. No server. No refills. No experience. Just a pour into a cup. I stand there waiting… they hand me the receipt to sign… …and I almost thought it was a joke. “Suggested gratuity” STARTS at 50%. FIFTY. Percent. For pouring coffee. And on top of that… a “card convenience fee” on a $4 drink. Let’s be honest about what’s happening… This isn’t tipping anymore. This is pressure disguised as gratitude. This is digital guilt built into the checkout screen. People aren’t becoming cheap… they’re becoming exhausted. Every screen you touch asks for more. Every purchase feels like a negotiation. Every simple transaction comes with emotional leverage. And then businesses wonder why people stop going out… Why foot traffic drops. Why customers choose home instead of cafés. Because when buying coffee starts feeling like a financial ambush… the experience stops being enjoyable. Tipping culture didn’t die because people stopped caring. It’s collapsing because it stopped making sense. 💀☕️ #SilentMajoritySpeaks #astonegroove

Today, I’m releasing the City’s preliminary budget. After years of fiscal mismanagement, we’re staring at a $5.4 billion budget gap — and two paths. One: Albany can raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy and the most profitable corporations and address the fiscal imbalance between our city and state. The other, a last resort: balance the budget on the backs of working people using the only tools at the City's disposal.   The first path matches a structural crisis with a sustainable and fair solution. I know where I stand. New Yorkers voted for bold change and competent leadership. We will deliver both, and we look forward to partnering with Albany to protect working New Yorkers.

@TomBahali @ClaireFosterPHD @DaveMandaro @NYCMayor Who’s the fascist again? Those lines are getting really blurry. I have a question. Once the tax base leaves and you have all their property, who will maintain it? City can’t afford to hire workers and people rarely work hard to maintain something they don’t own.

My favs will always be Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and of recent, Bruno Mars. It has nothing to do with race but everything to do with anti America-ism and the anti white agenda being a constant. @RocNation is run by JayZ who is completely racist. He decides the artists. It should be a panel of good spirited people making this decision, @NFL @nflcommish And, def not someone hating on the very people that keep this sport alive.

Somebody needs to tell @elonmusk that the only feasible way for humans to live on the moon is to live UNDERGROUND, in bunkers, due to radiation exposure. You can't just waltz around the surface of the moon all day. The moon has no magnetosphere to divert ionizing radiation. Elon's vision of humans living in above-ground moon domes is pure fiction. They would only DIE there, not live there. So unless you're going to drag massive mining and boring equipment to the moon and start building underground cities there, which still have no atmospheric pressure, btw, the whole idea of "cities on the moon" is pure bunk. Literally EVERY informed scientist knows this. Why has no one told Elon? And why is he pushing this comic book vision of cities on the moon all of a sudden?
