To celebrate 50 consecutive weeks of ⚗️DistillED, I’ve put together something quite cool…
Over the past year, Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction has been one of the most requested topics from teachers and school leaders. So I’ve put together a complete, ready-to-run CPD pack to help schools explore and implement all 10 principles.
The download includes:
→ 10 CPD PowerPoints (ready for 30–45 min sessions)
→ 10 strategy checklists (practical classroom actions)
→ 10 planning templates (put principles into action )
→ Covers all 10 of Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction
Everything you need to run ten focused CPD sessions — one for each principle.
👉 REPOST and comment ROSENSHINE and I’ll DM you the link. Cheers!

Points 1 & 2 missed repeatedly in schools where heads delegate badly. SLT flying blind because head doesn’t know what he wants or how to start. It’s not empowering staff. It’s poor headship.

A lot of management just comes down to: Tell them what you want Show them how to do it Check in to make sure they did Give feedback on the outcome And just doing that until you die.

@DrDavidJeffery I’m no historian, but surely the Beatles “influences” were firmly outside of the white, working class tradition? Blues, Jazz, Rock n Roll (maybe skiffle?). The source of their talent multi factorial, undoubtedly their work class background key.

This is completely true. They want people to think the white working class can't have talent without overwhelming influence from other cultures.
They want us to think that by ourselves we are nothing.

@DrDavidJeffery Read any history of the Beatles and this is always brought up, to emphasize the "cosmopolitan" sources of the Beatles talent. Ha. The truth is the Beatles were just ordinary, white, working class/middle class lads, mining white tradition. Nothing more or less.

Today's economics in the news is all about the changing basket of goods and services used in calculating the consumer price index. For the first time in over 30 years, vinyl records have reappeared in the basket of products! #60secondeconomics #tutor2ueconomics #inflation

@MonkEmma I’m agreeing with almost all you say. However, not all private schools have investments. The difference between schools in private sector is huge. Cost cutting is inevitable and the group that will suffer will be the staff, many members of the same union as state school teachers.
