Saw someone say this will draw devs away from making online only games in the comments.
GOOD.

The Stop Killing Games movement has officially backed the proposed California bill focused on protecting players when online games are shut down. > Publishers must provide an offline mode or a way to keep the game playable after server shutdown. > If this is not possible, players should receive a full refund. > The goal is to protect digital ownership and game preservation. This proposal follows growing concerns over games becoming completely inaccessible once support ends, especially after shutdowns like The Crew. Most gamers think that if players pay for a game, it should remain playable or be fairly compensated.

@Chiefyaku @PlayOverwatch no that's actually not the point in voting, and that's why they're changing it. if a majority of players want to play the map then why wouldn't the game be played on that map? because one person wants something different? disappoint 1 player or the rest of the lobby.
English

@laybbn @PlayOverwatch So its fine going from maybe 5% of games to 0%? I seen no issue with the current way. The voting was to get your map sometimes, not the majority vote all the time. So these underrepresented maps can have a chance to be played

@Chiefyaku @PlayOverwatch the majority of players wanna play these maps, so yeah. that's literally the point of voting.
English

@laybbn @PlayOverwatch This is literally the worst change. I honestly like flashpoint maps and vote for them every time, usually being 1 of maybe 2 votes. Now you're saying ill never get to play them nust cuase the community wants to play the same 2 maps over and over? Im livid
