This shit is so weird. 1. There’s literally a giant ass Holocaust Memorial smack in the middle of Boston. It’s like a whole friggin park. They have tour guides and everything. 2. The Holocaust didn’t even happen in America. The victims weren’t even American. Why TF does every city in America need *multiple* memorials/museums dedicated to this foreign historical event???
Only In Boston@OnlyInBOS

Boston's first Holocaust Museum will open this year at 125 Tremont Street. It will feature real artifacts, survivor stories, and interactive exhibits designed to confront hate and make sure history is never repeated.

I don’t get why some people on airplanes think the rules don’t apply to them. I once had a guy behind me ask me if I didn’t mind could I not recline my seat on an 8 hr flight to London because he was tall and my seat hit his knees. No thanks, pal. That’s why I paid for the exit row because I’m tall as well and I’m not sitting upright for 8 hrs because you didn’t think ahead.

@newstart_2024 Carving out spaces? Women are style, men are substance. Once being more stylish becomes the goal, men bail...the only intelligent thing to do. What needs to happen is that men need to be told to recognize this more quickly and evacuate the dumpster fire.

Once institutions reach 50% women, they rarely stop there. Helen Andrews points out that many fields keep feminizing — 52%, 55%, 56%… and in psychology, it’s now 75% female graduate students. It’s not just women out-competing men and hitting natural balance. As environments become more feminized, they often start feeling unwelcoming to men: different conversation styles, more gossip and factions, less tolerance for certain kinds of debate. Men quietly leave, especially those drawn to the harder, more analytical sides of the field, which accelerates the shift. The cycle becomes self-reinforcing. Andrews suggests the only way to reverse it may be deliberately carving out spaces where men can work and debate in a more masculine way — without apology. It’s an uncomfortable but honest observation about how institutions quietly change character over time. Do you see this pattern playing out in fields you’re familiar with? Is there a healthy way to push back without turning everything into a gender war?

@AI_EmeraldApple Appealing to male sexuality is not allowed. Maybe, they feel that doing so puts them more on par with p0rn....and they cannot have that. They must be superior ...and so we get flat-chested women who go out of their way to not please men.

The only way to save 'heroines' in entertainment is blatant and overwhelming evidence of "fan service". For example, someone like Sydney Sweeney playing as Supergirl, with tight uniforms, cutouts, and a happy smile instead of an obstinate resting bitch face like another vapid boss girl. Some cleavage instead of 'pecks', and a story that is fun instead of shallow and grim. Fan service isn't misogyny... It's basic entertainment math, catering to the fans of the franchise. People like looking at attractive people having adventures. They like smiles, curves, and costumes that actually celebrate the superhero physique instead of hiding it. Western studios and feminists acted like making the heroine hot or likable was somehow regressive... They tried to brainwash us OUT of our preferences, trying to paint "male feminists" as noble... trying to dress up the grim, flat-chested, resting-bitch-face “boss girl” who lectures as "fun"... but it ended up erasing what the audience liked and ironically erased women as a viable avenue for heroines in entertainment. For example, the Ballerina movie within the popular John Wick universe, with Ana de Armas, underperformed, despite a "hot" lead actress, a lack of boss girl energy, and the inclusion of form-fitting outfits. People have become so allergic to the "boss girl" trope; people didn't watch it. This is why, if they want to save 'heroines' in entertainment, they need to go over the top, all AMERICAN, with fan service with all happy smiles and curves, with a story that's unapologetically fun and escapist to "reset" it.

Firefly creator Joss Whedon on politics in Hollywood: "I wish that I had never had to speak politically about anything. The moment you do that, the more people focus on you and not the work. It takes you out of the story and it lessens the depth of the story. It’s not useful for an artist, for their art, to be political." Should Hollywood writers and actors take note of this and stop lecturing filmgoers?

The weirdest part is this clickbait tweet makes it sound like she's talking about Supergirl (hence the [franchise IP] editor's insert). She's talking about House of the Dragon. But that's insane since she didn't face any "backlash" for that.
Variety@Variety

#Supergirl star Milly Alcock knows she'll face backlash by "simply existing as a woman in [franchise IP]." "We have become very comfortable having this weird ownership of women’s bodies. I can’t really stop them. I can only be myself." variety.com/2026/film/news…
