@simcha1972 @GeauxGabrielle During my family’s Covid infections (7 of us at the same time), my dad’s infection went from mild with GI symptoms to sepsis and multi-organ failure in 3 weeks and he was taken off of the ventilator and passed 😓 If people had a mild case, they do not understand how serious it is

@GeauxGabrielle My mom's second bout of sepsis struck when she had Covid. That shit is terrifying- sneaks in and moves fast. Her fever was 106! Forever grateful for medical workers and modern meds.

Kyle Busch dying of septic pneumonia at 41 is terrifying, especially when studies from every major academic or research body in the country have confirmed that COVID-19 is causing a rise in it because even an asymptomatic infection is destroying the immune system enough to cause this.

@loscharlos I’ve felt from the start of my LC that my frontal lobe damage would lead to Alzheimer’s / dementia and always wondered if this is how people in early stages feel. When you notice that you’re more forgetful and recognize that your brain isn’t working the same 🫠

I’m a nurse and understand science-based evidence which proves my LC was due to my infection, just like it did for millions of others

@CatchTheBaby @bhanlon15 I was diagnosed with frontal lobe impairment after my Covid infection in 2020. And brain fog doesn’t begin to describe how it feels. It’s knowing your brain doesn’t work like it used to. I often wonder if this is what people in early stages of Alzheimer’s feel like 🫠

Something a coworker said to me once still sticks with me. “If you stopped focusing on your symptoms so much, they probably wouldn’t affect you as much.” I don’t think healthy people realize how insulting it feels to have your illness reduced to a mindset problem. People with chronic illness aren’t choosing this life. Ignoring symptoms wont magically make us feel better. This isn’t something a “mind over matter” attitude can fix.
