@RealSkyHartman @figma Hm, can you say more what you mean by "quickly editable" — is it that the endpoint dragging behavior is different, or something else?

@lbudorick @figma Thanks for the response! So I did that as a solve before posting but then it's no longer quickly editable, especially if I want to play around with the dash settings.

@figma for dashed lines, is it possible to get it centered to the line vs. default to the right side of the line?

@RealSkyHartman @figma …a 1px line snapped to grid fills one exact pixel row, rather than half of two pixel rows, which would rasterize as a 2px half-opacity line). Flattening a line layer converts it to a vector layer, which renders strokes as centered.

@RealSkyHartman @figma Hi! If you flatten this, it will render its stroke centered as you'd expect. Longer explanation: this is an interesting quirk of line layers (vs vector layers). Lines render their strokes to one side (an old decision that allows them to perfectly align to the pixel grid — …

Should I cancel my Adobe subscription and start paying for Figma? Main uses: logos, guidelines, pitch decks, social media graphics, marketing design, etc.

@danielsun_ui @Krisleedesigns @figma Hey, these should work as SVG (both the texture effect and the new brushes)! If you're seeing something not exporting well as SVG, I would love to look into it if you can send me an example!

I did this with the Texture effect, I exported this illustration only as PNG, WEBp or AFIV, because I think it is quite difficult to use this effect in SVG and the file can weigh a lot. I just tried to export to SVG and unfortunately it doesn't work. But if you use new brushes for stroke, after select and click in the context menu Outline stroke, it will be work 😉

Previously, to make illustrations with a spray effect, I had to go through 10 circles of hell: learn Photoshop or Illustrator, or buy an iPad and an Apple Pencil, and a subscription to ProCreate. Thank you @figma team now it possible all in one place! I'm sooo happy and excited about your updates! 🏄‍♂️

We just launched a brand new brush type in @figma: Scatter brushes! So proud of my incredible engineers on getting this one out the door and in your hands. I made this art using them and it was fun as hell. 1/n

@ZachACole It's still option+click if you have the pen tool active! (Hit P while in vector edit mode)

How do you remove an anchor point in Figma Draw? I feel like it used to be easy to select and option+click. Did the keyboard command change?

All credit to @rogie the SVG filter mad scientist, and Yassir, his effect rendering eng partner in crime. All I did was act as PM driving them crazy with my insistence “keep going, it HAS to be SVG-able!” 🤭

Made a lil illustration in @figma draw with dynamic stroke and texture effects and text on a path. I dared to paste the SVG code into @CodePen ... this is what happened... Spoiler alert... It worked! @rogie @lbudorick @maxvoltar you super amazing brilliant beautiful people! This is delight!

@crypt0taku @meshtimes_ @figma Only difference is when you delete a point on a closed shape in draw it breaks the shape into a stroke by deleting the connected segments to the removed anchor point. Sketch is non-destructive, it just connects the segments to the next point in the shape.

@figma launched the amazing Figma Draw, and I’m especially excited about the Text on Path feature! I built a plugin to solve this for myself years ago, now Figma has it built in natively. 🎉 My plugin can happily retire, and I’m thrilled more people can bring their creative ideas to life. Huge thanks to @rogie, @maxvoltar, @lbudorick and the incredible Figma team for pouring so much heart into this! ✨

@PauliesWalnut @BrettFromDJ @SonyRouhaud Appreciate your feedback! Can you think of examples of what specifically makes Figma bezier handles more difficult than Illustrator's? Btw, have you tried the bend tool? Do you find it helpful in adjusting curves?

@lbudorick @BrettFromDJ @SonyRouhaud This, coupled with the lack of dedicated curvature tools to adjust the curves of the shapes we create, makes it very annoying because we must rely solely on the clunky Bezier handles to achieve the desired shape. These endless minor adjustments are time-consuming. (2/4)
