Really nice version of ROAD FIGHTER for the Sega Master System (by Badcomputer, chirinea). I grew up with MSX version which is also fondly remembered, however, it doesn't have SUPERMAN and JET FIGHTER. They give "+3000" points, so I guess I did something right. +Info in comments.

It is entirely possible that AI is capable of doing all those listed things in the listed time frames. But capability to something is not the same as wide adaptation. That's when the adaptation starts in western countries. USA first due to looser AI laws. But if there's any backlash, the laws might get tighter fast. Backlash could be political, security or safety related. A single big accident related to AI might cause countries to tighten their laws. Rising unemployment might cause people to riot and countries to change their laws. 30% local unemployment kickstarted Nazi Germany and the WW2. The economy of USA can't handle even 10% of unemployed people. The structure of our economy can't yet handle most people being unemployed. That would need MASSIVE changes in all sectors. It's not possible that AI replaces all the workers quickly. Our system simply can't handle it. There will be massive resistance.

Estimates ignore the fact that it takes years to change the local laws. Clinical trials start from mice, years later first human patients. Wide availability around the globe 5-10 years later. So much bureaucracy. AI is not legally allowed to be a doctor or a lawyer in court.

Over the last ~2 weeks I've rewritten the @ladybirdbrowser JavaScript compiler in Rust using AI agents. ~25k lines of safe Rust (20k if you exclude comments). No regressions on test262 or our own internal test suites. Extensively tested against the live web by browsing in lockstep mode where we run both the C++ and Rust pipelines, and then verify identical AST & bytecode. We're making a pragmatic decision and adopting Rust as a C++ successor language. What a time to be alive!

Then I asked it to find the timer in the game's RAM. I sat down and watched as it used the tools autonomously until it found the correct address!

I've added a MCP server to my libretro frontend with very basic tools: advance the emulation a given number of frames, and read values from emulated memory.

Two new releases: ddlt: presets for assembly-like languages fsmc: added query function for available transitions lrcpp: used new fsmc to add methods to query what libretro API calls are available Link below.

@St1ka Brazilian here. We joke about the Portuguese. Probably because we learned it from them joking about themselves.

Updated lrcpp to add core options v2 compatibility. The three (!) previous ways to set core options will now create v2 compatible structures and call Config::setCoreOptionsV2Intl(), so frontends using lrcpp only have to implement that one method to be fully compatible.

@soft_fox_lad Programmers define global settings vars in our data def language, which generates code for: - global classes w/ trivial Get()/Set() - reading from a .set asset - reading from commandline - tweaking via in-game Dear ImGUI thus easy for creatives to author or tweak on the fly.

A trick for writing high-performing (in terms of quality more than speed) algorithms that I stole from Stockfish: wrapper types for any arbitrary variable. Whenever you have a variable of significance, you define it using that wrapper type. In normal builds, the wrapper is made

wow. Microsoft wants to use AI to wipe out all C and C++ code by 2030 and replace everything with Rust. Their new “North Star” metric: 1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code. Microsoft Distinguished Engineer Galen Hunt writes in a post on LinkedIn. “My goal is to eliminate every line of C and C++ from Microsoft by 2030. Our strategy is to combine AI and Algorithms to rewrite Microsoft’s largest codebases. Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.” --- Source Linkedin post linkedin .com/posts/galenh_principal-software-engineer-coreai-microsoft-activity-7407863239289729024-WTzf/

🎨 Paid Gig: Logo Redesign to High-Def Vector I have a low-res pixel art logo and I’m hiring an artist to re-illustrate it into a high-definition vector version. ✅ Human-made only (no AI) ✅ Faithful to the original spirit, with HD detail ✅ Original work DM portfolio!
