NFA though I get this question a lot. Do you get FOMO holding Tesla while Nvidia, Google, Micron, etc., go on their historic runs? There’s nothing stopping you—or anyone—from investing in the above names, or any other great company. The real question is: why didn’t you? If you were 100% certain Micron would rise 50% while Tesla stayed flat over the next 30 days, you’d obviously sell Tesla, buy Micron, then rotate back afterward. But because I can’t predict short-term movements with certainty, I remove that from the equation and focus on longer time horizons instead. When you zoom out 10+ years, many companies are capable of 10x returns. The real challenge becomes: how much capital can you meaningfully commit so the outcome materially impacts your life? Which leads to the next problem: how do you build enough conviction to commit a material sum into a small number of companies? The only way I know is to study the company deeply—so deeply that you can infer their next moves, interpret management tone on earnings calls and podcasts, and understand the trajectory of their products better than Wall Street, the average consumer, and sometimes even the employees themselves. That’s what Brick by Brick and Chip by Chip are about. Brick by Brick: How I built my Tesla position from 30 to 14,000 shares. Chip by Chip: From TSMC to Terafab tiny.cc/teslayoda
