Today is a very sad day for the Apple community Bill Atkinson has died at the age of 74😢 He was Apple employee number 51 and the principal designer and developer of the Lisa GUI. He was also among the first 30 members of the original Apple Macintosh development team. RIP Bill

@Scobleizer Makes me a little sad that the algo punishes people for us creating workflows to try and better use the platform :( I mean, I kids get it… but humans are not all in or all out like that. The algo shouldn’t be either.

I had a phone conversation today with a very nice young chap from Pakistan. This is how it went: "Hello, how are you today?" @kmartyn5 @StatsTeslaApp I’m in the same boat, but I don’t think new Ys come with v12… the new one I just test drove was v11 and it seems rollout has been delayed. Still hoping though!

Now that the V12 auto speed set issue, that caused a Tesla to rear end another vehicle has been reviewed, we will hopefully get back to the approximate 2 week cycle of updates, starting next week. Hopefully on the 2024 branch. I trade in my model 3, for a Y tomorrow, with FSD transfer. Will be interesting to see if it comes with V12, or if this incident stopped that.

Great place to hang out (and park too) after attending a conference at the adjacent LVCC or any time. Four hours free parking too!

How did you like @Fontainebleau? It’s a gorgeous hotel but as the locals know they aren’t good at running a hotel casino. Too pricey, no tier matching and no database. It is failing. If you get a chance check out the new Durango Hotel before you go back. Also beautiful but being a Stn casino, well run and doing very well.

Tonight I was on @AdrianDittmann’s audio space when @elonmusk joined. The thing is I was outside the @fountainbleau hotel in Las Vegas. Like right in the middle of the hustle and bustle in the place taxis drop off. Adrian and I tested out a variety of audio situations. I was wearing Apple’s newest AirPod Pros. Developer beta on my iPhone. Trucks? Can’t hear them. Yelling kids? Can’t hear them. Loud music from either cars or speakers over car park? Can’t hear them. My kids in the room? Can’t hear them. My wife talking with the kids? Can’t hear her. This is my Vegas fun now. Vegas stays in Vegas even if I am talking with Elon. :-)
