The Delhi Darbari clique is upset with the government taking over some relic of the Colonial era. How ironic! All the Darbari hounds (irrespective of political party or political affiliation) stand as ruthless and merciless gatekeepers to their clubs, lest someone without “pedigree” (not a child of a Brown Sahib or Sangh) barge in. And this particular class doesn’t hesitate even a little to conspire and evict self-made, daring people without lineage — not just from the demarcated areas of the elite, but from their own workplaces and homes too. The IAS, IPS, IFS, JUDGES — everyone is quiet. Unfortunately, the retired faujis don't understand that there are reasons why the government has taken this step, and it needs to be welcomed. Armed forces officers have their institutes,clubs, but yes, they are not just for elites. A general will have to share a seat with a short-service captain. My humble request to the officers who are members of the club: not to bring the name of the armed forces into it. It's your personal battle; please fight it yourself.
