The Lime bike redesign makes sense in terms of sizing. But the white paint will immediately become grimy, and the lurid lime colour of the front section is by now unnecessary: everyone can recognise one of these bikes. Could Uber do the aesthetic commons a favour and start producing these bikes in, say, metallic red? Some minor design tweaks would make our streets look much nicer.

Crusaders, while brave, were mainly concerned with land, power and glory. Nietzsche is right to call them criminals.

People are dragging her over this, but if you’re secular, you don’t have all these emotional attachments to the shifts of religious landscape and this changes are “just what happens”
And in any case, churches sell their buildings to other religious communities all the time.

On the question of whether churches should be allowed to become mosques, let's remember that the Parthenon was originally a "pagan" temple, then was converted into a Christian church, then became a mosque. This kind of conversion is not historically unusual.

@LemanWalters @constans I find it interesting how the restrictionist ideology always resorts to describing immigration as “importing,” suggesting there is some top-down imposition, rather than engaging with the actual fact that people want to move to your country and attempt to do so unless forced.
