Do you suppose, Ambassador Haley, that the existence of that one verse in the book of Genesis somehow gives a free pass to the secular government of present day Israel to do literally anything they want, and demand tribute from our nation, without question? You do realize, I assume, that God Himself – the One who designated Israel as the chosen race – was fiercely angry with the Israelis when they disobeyed His Commandments. It was so strong, that not only did He punish them numerous times with military defeats, but on two occasions literally had them swept out of the land and banished. The message of the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament, is that disobedience to God can sometimes bring the wrath of God onto even His chosen people. Nobody gets a pass, not the Jews – and not we present day Americans.
