Socialism either turns into Communism due to its inherent need for government control over the money it's taking from and "distributing" to other people, or turns into capitalism if the people in charge are smart enough to realize that socialism is going to / has fucked their country. Or aren't even actially socialist, just capitalist with some socialist aspects

You do realize that all of those would have to be paid for by taxpayers, right? You're essentially just taking other people's money to give it to someone else. Meaning it isn't free. Being given everything for 'free' removes the incentive to be productive in society, meaning less people willing to work, or work enough to give back more than they take in benefits, meaning less money to go around, meaning the system would fail pretty quickly without forcing people to work, either outcome being negative.

@jackvlloyd In America, that would entail implementing universal basic income, universal healthcare, free public colleges & trade schools, and medical & student debt cancellation at the bare minimum. Then we'd have a truly free market because every individual would have absolute freedom.

Not fully, no. Free enterprise by technicality, but more corporatist than anything, with some minor socialistic elements in the form of welfare, government bailouts for corporations, tax breaks and various grants and assistance for certain groups. I'm not saying these are inherently bad, but I like to be accurate!
