@RealPatSawyer @unabashedlyRED Listen, I agree with your original premise, but these solutions are not realistic for parents already living paycheck to paycheck. Without a more equitable distribution of resources in this country, daycare will be an unfortunate consequence.

Options better than typical daycare: - Maximize grandparent, aunt, uncle, relative help if you 100% trust them. - Be involved with a church that you know and trust and know and trust the specific people involved that offers abbreviated watch time of kids for moms that need hours in the day blocked off for part time work. - Create a friends circle where kids are rotated in close friends’ homes so mom can isolate blocked time to do part time work. - Mom finds work that can be done 10-25 hrs a week, any time day or night, 100% from home and flexible per week where the mom has some say on volume per week. My daughter is doing this with her young babies. She works when they sleep. She works some at nite when husband is home from work. But have to balance this in such a way that the mom is not exhausted all the time. She needs her sleep and rest too. There is work like this to be found, especially post Covid, which created a paradigm shift in an increased amount of virtual work opportunities. - Have a modified in-home nanny for 10 to 20 hours per week. Make the nanny someone you know and trust. Not someone new to you from a random service. This will often be cheaper than daycare and will also allow the mom to have consistent interaction with the child throughout the day. More could be said, but these kinds of things are much better for the parents and child than standard daycare.

Daycare? Don't do it. Just don't do it. I realize if you are a single parent you have significant challenges, but still, there are better alternatives to typical daycare. For married couples, especially, don't do it. Commit to no daycare. Figure out a way to live off one income and be there for your baby. The enfant NEEDS the regular, consistent skin to skin touch of the mom and the regular, consistent verbal gentle reassurance of love, peace, safety, and joy over him or her. Dads strongly need to be part of this as well. The first 2-3 years, starting at birth (even in the womb, frankly), are hyper critical for the child. Daycare in its typical iteration (hours a day, 5 days a week, for months/years) greatly undermines and hurts the physical, psychological, and soul wellbeing of the child. Just don't do it. Say no to daycare.

There’s a quiet all out war for the future of our country. Let us not misdirect our precious resources. I do not believe I lost due to fraudulent votes, mail-in ballots, hacking, or mistabulated results. I respect those who want to make sure, but I won’t be requesting a recount.

This seems like nothing, but it's obviously something. It's possible to deduce things from subtle cues, but it is impossible do it reliably, on cue. Certainly not pin numbers or baby names. It's done with surveillance. And the message is obvious: We know your secrets.

At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.  The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.    About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.  This situation is evolving, and more information is forthcoming.

@davebfr I think the most disappointing part is that Caleb had one of the all time iconic playoff throws at the end and it’s tough to squander that. But looking forward, it’s exciting to have a contender for years to come.

Liv wanted to be home. No more doctors. No more IVs. No more hospitals. She wanted to be in her bed surrounded by her friends, her family, and her beloved kitties. And without a second thought, we said yes—absolutely. Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. For over 12 hours, I held her close, suctioned her gently, gave her meds, and fed her water with a syringe, never leaving her side. She stayed with us, still talking, still her feisty self until the very last couple of hours. Even then, she made me pinky promise I wouldn’t give her any more of that “gross medicine.” 💕 She was a fighter. She was our gift from God. Our home feels so empty. She was the light of it. This kindness of strangers is the most fitting tribute because if you ever encountered my wife, Renee Nicole Macklin Good, you know that above all else, she was kind. In fact, kindness radiated out of her. Renee sparkled. She literally sparkled. I mean, she didn’t wear glitter but I swear she had sparkles coming out of her pores. All the time. You might think it was just my love talking but her family said the same thing. Renee was made of sunshine. Renee lived by an overarching belief: there is kindness in the world and we need to do everything we can to find it where it resides and nurture it where it needs to grow. Renee was a Christian who knew that all religions teach the same essential truth: we are here to love each other, care for each other, and keep each other safe and whole. Like people have done across place and time, we moved to make a better life for ourselves. We chose Minnesota to make our home. Our whole extended road trip here, we held hands in the car while our son drew all over the windows to pass the time and the miles. What we found when we got here was a vibrant and welcoming community, we made friends and spread joy. @jimstewartson @JDVance Renee Good was anything but kind. We watched the video. Both women were taunting the ICE agents. The next thing our federal government needs to do is charge Becca good with accessory to attempted murder of an ice agent. Hold her accountable.
