From my perspective, the relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye is a genetic one, with its codes and ciphers written by Allah. Because every child born in Pakistan comes into the world with love for Türkiye, and every child born in Türkiye comes into the world with love for Pakistan. Pakistan is a kindred state for Türkiye from this perspective and many more that I will express below, and it should be admitted as a full member to the #OrganizationofTurkicStates (OTS). So, what are our findings and realities that form the basis for making Pakistan a member of the #OTS? 1. Linguistic and Philological Kinship (Urdu-Turkish Context) Although Urdu belongs to the Indo-Aryan language family, its development process has been directly shaped by the influence of #Turkic-#Islamic states. Name Origin: The word "#Urdu" is directly derived from the Turkish word "Ordu" and means "army language." Word Sharing: Urdu contains thousands of Turkish words used in everyday life (for example: can, elveda, damat, çeyiz, pabuç, sabun, han, hanım, hatun, elçi). This linguistic layer creates a kind of "cultural kinship" that fosters unity in mindset and concepts among communities. 2. Legacy of Governance and State Tradition The region was ruled for centuries by Turkic-origin dynasties such as the #Ghaznavids, #Delhi Sultanate, and the #Babur (#Mughal) Empire. Genetic and Social Fusion: During these long periods of rule, Turkic communities from #CentralAsia intermingled with the local population; this has led to millions of people in present-day Pakistan bearing surnames like "Turk," "Barlas," "Kızılbaş," or "Uzbek." Administrative Structure: Traces of this historical Turkic state structure can be found in parts of Pakistan's bureaucratic and military disciplinary traditions. 3. Spiritual and Philosophical Kinship (#Mevlevism and #Iqbal) Kindred communities can be defined not only by blood ties but also by "spiritual bonds." #Rumi-Iqbal Line: Muhammad Iqbal, the intellectual father of Pakistan, regarded #Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi as his spiritual guide (Pir-i Rumi). War of Independence and "Community of Fate" One of the strongest elements that makes a community "kindred" is shared memory. #Khilafat Movement: The sacrifices made by Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent (today's Pakistani people) during the Turkish War of Independence have turned the two communities into "kin from hard times." This support has a sociological depth more akin to one family member aiding another than mere diplomatic cooperation. Self-Definition: The sense of "brotherhood" felt toward Türkiye among the Pakistani people has become part of their collective identity, beyond any transactional relationship. 5. Geopolitical and Strategic "Heartland Geography" Türkiye's "Heartland Geography" vision does not limit kinship solely to Central Asia and the #Balkans. Gateway to #SouthAsia: Pakistan is Türkiye's most natural ally and cultural extension in South Asia.
