I’ve never flown first class and I really don’t see the appeal. It doesn’t even look much different. I’m not going to eat/drink on the plane anyway. There’s a bit more leg room which is certainly somewhat appealing but not the difference of first class and economy appealing. What am I missing?

As firm as I am on immigration, I disagree with this. All that should matter is that you're a "natural born citizen", as the U.S. Constitution already requires of the Presidency. Of course, "natural born citizen" meaning that you are a citizen by birth rather than naturalizaton. Very easy to conjure up a scenario where a heritage American is born outside of the country while their parents are working or vacationing overseas.

@kamikazecash @TheLaurenChen It's not just that, even street vendors have to adhere to and pass health and safety codes, pay high prices for quality enough ingredients, pay higher prices for labor. B&M businesses have much higher prices for those things too.

A lot of restaurants in the US are chains, so there are investors who expect larger and larger returns, or else they will fire the company leadership. This puts restaurants in a tough spot where they must constantly increase profit, which means raising prices and lowering costs. You wind up with sub-par food for high prices.

Why are restaurants so expensive in the West? I'm honestly asking. In Asia people eat out almost every day, there are options cheaper than cooking for yourself. But even "street food" is expensive here. I paid $17 for 4 tacos out of a truck from a guy who spoke no English.

It would be SICK if we switched to mostly renewable and nuclear energy so that we wouldn’t have to worry much about the price of oil from the PvP area of the Middle East. All of Iran’s leverage comes from oil. Why we have chosen to stay so reliant on this old form of energy boggles my mind.
