Because I have to show off... I did an exercise that combines design & front end. The product of that: kosmos! A software designed to manage projects and tasks. Includes dark mode and it's responsive 😊

6 months without posting - for a good reason! I have upgraded my skills to become a better product designer. Now, not only I design with intent, but I can bring my ideas to code with html, css, js and vue. I'm planning to learn even more, even expanding to Astro!

AI is here to make a change, however, I didn't become an UX UI designer to talk with a machine to create my designs. Give me options, new points of view, research but that's it. The new arts and crafts movement is designing in Figma.

If you want to build your next @framer template and you don't know what niche to build for, There's a new way I found out that I use to pick a niche for my next Framer template. So before Framer templates, there were already other website templates out there, like WordPress website templates. So I thought about it and realized, why bother thinking about what niche to build for, When I can go look at other marketplaces and see what niches are blowing up there? So what I do now is I go to ThemeForest and browse the new categories of templates that have been newly created. I look for templates that cost a lot of money and check for templates that have the most downloads in the short time since the template was created. When I find the template, I check what niche the template is for and study the template really well to understand why it's doing so well. Then I use that knowledge to build my next @framer template.

I have been on a pause for some weeks. Sometimes you lose things in life that make you stop for a bit. But, at the end of the day, you have to keep going. So, let's do it!

I'm sure everyone's thinking this. I'm just the one saying it – the @X UI needs some love. @nikitabier , is there hope for a UI clean-up soon? I'm sure it's not a top priority for the biz, but it seems to me there are some easy wins in here. Why not?

@wizardxdesigns Yup, that's how it has been working. Honestly, I try to give feedback when I can but most of the time, these NPCs ignore you because their aim is not improving, but gathering views. Real designers that create with quality, don't spam their work nor do it in 30 minutes.

I just saw a gold section with white text on it, and someone actually paid for that. Contrast was nowhere to be found. When you hire a designer, at least make sure your site is readable. Lots of designers on here need to learn about that. Hire a professional please.

@tranmautritam @fredwanders That's a big problem of X in general. People be like: clean, perfect, you cooked! And the reality is the design has lots of flaws. People love that empty appreciation and they will stay stuck with their designs and they will make the same mistakes. I can't agree more with you.

@fredwanders You know, sometimes these kids need someone who speaks out, and I think that is better than almost 400 people hitting like on that post. If we leave it at that, she doesn't know what's bad and good and will make more mistakes in the future designs.

@hunterabi_ I don't know about hiding text that could sell the experience behind the girl. You have enough space to make that fit comfortably without making it look like it's being elbowed. The tags there... I would erase them. More empty space is never bad if you want a premium look.

@bymahdii Very cool concept but as the tennis design, this has way too many elements. I don't know where to look. There are a lot of ads that shouldn't be part of this process. If you are selecting wheels, focus on the buying process. Everything else should leave.

@gabrielspycugly If updated visuals you mean the same hero section again and again... I would not take Twitter as a design standard. The foundations are lacking most of the time and people focus on farming followers rather than on producing quality work.

I've created two design systems and worked at two fintech startups, but scrolling through Twitter, I realize I lack updated visual design skills. In 30 days I’ll master dashboard designs 2025 I have the knowledge, theory, and taste I'm confident I can do it.

@Too_Ankan Honestly, reading and studying design principles, hierarchy, accessibility should go before this. How do you know if what you are copying is right or wrong? If you copy crap you will inherit mistakes. People should develop their own senses.

@Molk @bymahdii Wow, 25 years. You must have seen a lot of changes. 99% of people just throw flatters. Designing is more than the trendy layout, it's a responsibility. People interact with your product and you have a message to deliver. If you fail to do that, you aren't a good designer.

@lili_creates @bymahdii I've been doing websites since 2000. I've seen it all and actually hard criticism is the best feedback someone can recieve, because it's the one that will make us better. And yes, X lacks of that.

Just finished designing this hero section for a tennis academy, aiming for a modern, sporty vibe that really grabs attention.

#DesignTokens are the building blocks of UI, replacing hardcoded values with meaningful names. Using design tokens ensures consistency and simplifies updates across your design system. Material Design offers three classes of tokens: reference, system, and component. Learn more → m3.material.io/foundations/de…
