@Finn_Mackay I’m sitting waiting for my discharge after a traumatic induction and labour having been in hospital for 9 days. Having my husband there overnight would have helped my and my daughters well-being immensely. Sharing parental responsibility is so important for healthcare to support

Goddess almighty. I've just read article in the Bristol Post about a woman writing on Mumsnet that fathers shouldn't be allowed to stay overnight on maternity wards & that caring for mum & baby is not their job. She wants privacy & doesn't want strange men sitting in bays nearby.
