@Arrowhead_Adam @plcjoanne The common theme with all 4 of those guys was they were 1st or 2nd round picks though. Let’s hope they pull off a miracle tomorrow and somehow find a legit receiver or tight end that can help Mahomes this season.

@lja_14 @plcjoanne Even Mecole and Skyy played as rookies. Historically across the league it’s just a really bad omen when a rookie receiver can’t get on the field. There’s a lot of data on it.

@Arrowhead_Adam @plcjoanne That’s possible. But how would we know because the coaching staff doesn’t want to play rookie receivers. It took Worthy and Rice half the season before they could get in the mix. They’d rather have Watson, Juju or Skyy out there not getting open or dropping the ball than a rook.

@lja_14 @plcjoanne I think that’s a referendum on Royals honestly. I thought he was a top 100 player last year and so did a lot of experts, but he slid to like 144 and maybe that’s telling. Still worth taking another bite at the apple. Gonna have some misses if you swing this late.

@Arrowhead_Adam @plcjoanne Not really for us it seems. Royals looked like a potentially great mid round guy last year and they never let him touch the field while the ghost of Juju was getting snaps in meaningless games.

Veach has addressed the one glaring need the Chiefs had heading into the draft and completely rebuilt the D-line yet, people are still moaning.

@lja_14 @Arrowhead_Adam Well yes, there's that, but also, this draft was thin on really good WR. The good ones are long gone from the board. So with those two things, anyone they might get tomorrow will never be on the field.

Seeing a lot of speculation that the Chiefs will go EDGE at 40 today.
Here's why I think that doesn't happen:
With the trade up for Delane, and the Woods pick, the Chiefs have already spent 4 picks (6, 29, 74, 148) on defense.
My guess is they go skill position. WR or TE.

The people freaking out about receiver only love Mahomes not the CHIEFS. The people freaking out about receiver were clamoring for us to solve the running game in the offseason. Same people who don’t believe Reid and EB can get it done with the GUY they wanted at RB.

@HKChiefs9276 I understand people who wanted Bain, but the people freaking out about WR make no sense to me. I don’t love our WR room, but with Tate gone, Tyson was the only other real option at 6/9 and his injury history is a major concern for a team that has dealt with constant WR injuries

I just enjoy having the best offense in the league and think we should’ve given Mahomes a weapon that he can grow with for more than the 4 years Delane will be here before Veach trades him for picks and we start the process over.
