"Western" values are not Judeo-Christian, they are Greco-Christian — the baptism of Aristotle's empiricism into the Christian world by Thomas Aquinas.

1. Citizenship clause is ambiguous ("wherein they reside") 2. Congress has exclusive power to establish naturalization (Art. I, §8) 3. Post-Loper, courts should not fill in ambiguities belonging to congress 4. Congress, not the Court, defines what "wherein they reside" means
Luke Smith@lksmth

"wherein they reside" Not inhabit. Not stay. Not hideout. Where they "reside". Tourists don't reside here. Illegal immigrants don't reside here. This is UNCHARTED territory.

@dw_politics It has to be checked how many Syrians will be needed by the European labour markets. Moreover, the persons staying here must understand Western values and be compatible with them.

Who said 80% of Syrian refugees in Germany should return within three years? At a Berlin press conference on Monday, Friedrich Merz said it — attributing the figure to Ahmad al-Sharaa. Al-Sharaa later pushed back: "I did not say this."

Getting really bored of MAGA ranting about "freeloading" Europeans. The US does not spend a trillion dollars "on NATO." It spends it on a vast global military empire, with a mere 3.6% going toward their bases in Europe. Meanwhile us "freeloading" Europeans spend $454 billion on our own defence. The "freeloading" story is and always has been a lie to keep Americans angry and Europeans compliant.

Californians were promised high-speed rail by 2020 for $33B. Instead: costs ballooned to $128B, zero usable track, no trains—just massive mismanagement and waste. I joined @60Minutes to expose the details. Tune in Sunday.

🇬🇷🇧🇩 22 Bangladeshis who died trying to enter Greece illegally were thrown into the sea on orders of the Sudanese migrant smugglers. According to the testimonies of the 26 survivors, those who lost their lives on the journey to Crete from Libya after the migrant smugglers got lost at sea were thrown into the water. Many had died from the cold, hunger, and thirst. The survivors were for six days and nights in bad weather, with huge waves smashing their small boat, a 10-meter-long craft powered by a 40-horsepower engine, before being rescued on March 26. As people died one by one, the order was given by the smugglers: "Throw them into the sea." Port officials believe the order to throw them into the sea was intended to reduce the boat's weight, since it had already started to take on water. The two Sudanese, 22 and 19 years old, who were identified as traffickers, are currently in detention and charged with violations of the legislation on illegal entry, facilitation, complicity, as well as offenses related to exposure to danger and manslaughter by negligence.

🇫🇷🔴More Africans and people of color are headed to France and the French can go cry about it, says Mayor Bally Bagayoko, who just won in Saint-Denis in Paris. "The French are going to need a lot of Kleenex tissues, because it's Bally Bagayoko, Jamila (Lognoné), and others are arriving in French cities in droves." Bagayoko has proven controversial, giving a middle finger to the cameras as he walked into City Hall on his first day in office. He has also proposed municipal officers be disarmed, sparking outrage from law enforcement.

Germany's largest open-pit mine sits on more than 1 billion tonnes of extractable lignite. But starting in 2030, Rhine water will flood the pit, creating a 360-metre-deep lake. It's not a coincidence that the state's environmental ministry where the mine is located (Nordrhein-Westfalen) is led by the Green party. The same political class that dynamited functioning nuclear cooling towers is now drowning a billion tonnes of domestic fuel under a recreational lake. Once the pit fills, the coal beneath becomes permanently inaccessible. No future government can reverse a 360-metre column of water. The decision to flood Hambach is the deliberate, irreversible destruction of a strategic reserve, executed by politicians who price energy security at zero.

The 23 Percent Illusion: How Brussels’ Schools and Maternity Wards Are Already Writing the Story of Europe in 2045 By: Ofer Binshtok April 2026 BRUSSELS: On paper, the de facto capital of the European Union still looks recognizably European. Muslims constitute an estimated 23 to 25 percent of the city’s 1.256 million residents according to the latest demographic analyses and Statbel data. Yet step inside the elementary schools, kindergartens, and maternity wards in neighborhoods such as Molenbeek, Schaerbeek, Anderlecht, or Saint-Josse, and the picture is already radically different. In these settings, the next generation is being born and educated, and in growing numbers, its ideological identity is Muslim. This is not speculation. It is the hard arithmetic of official Belgian statistics: enrollment records from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, birth registries from Statbel, and long-term demographic modeling from the Pew Research Center. Brussels is far more than Belgium’s capital. It is the head, heart, and engine of the European project: the seat of the European Commission, Parliament, and Council; a global diplomatic and cultural hub; and an economic powerhouse whose demographic trends shape EU-wide policy and labor markets. When the youngest cohorts at that core begin to shift, the implications are structural and largely irreversible. The Classroom as a Strategic Indicator Belgium does not collect official data on the ideological affiliation of schoolchildren. However, in the French-speaking school system which serves the majority of Brussels pupils, 29.27 percent of primary students were enrolled in Islamic ideological instruction as of late 2024. Independent estimates and local analyses place the share of pupils from Muslim backgrounds significantly higher, commonly cited at 45 to 52 percent in elementary schools. This reflects higher birth rates, residential concentration, and the migration of native populations to the suburbs. Districts where pupils from Muslim backgrounds already form a decisive majority in many schools: * Molenbeek * Schaerbeek * Anderlecht * Saint-Josse The Fertility Engine The overall fertility rate in Brussels remains well below the replacement level of 2.1 children per woman. Native Belgian women average approximately 1.4 to 1.7 children. In contrast, women of Muslim background (including first and second generation) continue to average 2.0 to 2.6 children. Muslim-origin names now dominate boys’ birth lists in most communes. Analysts estimate that roughly 30 to 35 percent of newborns in the capital receive distinctly Muslim forenames. The median age gap is equally telling. The non-Muslim population averages 48 to 50 years of age, while the Muslim population averages 32 to 34. Even if net migration were to stop today, the young Muslim cohort would continue to grow while the native population shrinks. From 23 Percent Today to 45 Percent by 2045 Using cohort-component modeling, which is the standard method of Statbel and the Pew Research Center, demographers project the following scenarios: * Moderate migration scenario: Muslims will reach 30 to 35 percent of the total population by 2045, representing well over 50 percent of those under age 20 and of school age. * Higher migration continuation: Muslims will exceed 40 percent of the total population, with an outright majority in the youngest cohorts and the future workforce. In the 0 to 15 age bracket, Muslims are already on track to become the largest single ideological group within the next decade. The Geography of Concentration High-migration districts crossed the tipping point years ago. Native Belgians have been leaving the city center for decades, a pattern that accelerates the demographic momentum inside Brussels itself. Head, Heart, and Engine of Europe Brussels is simultaneously the political head, cultural heart, and demographic engine of the continent. When the rising generation in that triple core follows a markedly different ideological trajectory, the consequences radiate across the European Union. The Historical Pattern: 1960s to Today * Guest-worker phase: Moroccan and Turkish labor migration. * Family reunification: Permanent settlement and the formation of parallel ideological communities. * Third and fourth generations: Belgians born in Brussels, supplemented by new inflows from Syria, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. Each wave compounds the last while the native birth pipeline contracts. What It Means for Europe The 23 to 25 percent headline figure is not false. It is simply no longer the most relevant metric. The real signal is the pipeline: who is entering classrooms, maternity wards, universities, workplaces, and eventually the institutions that shape EU law and policy. Brussels is not an ordinary city. As the political capital of the European Union, its transformation carries continent-wide weight. By the mid-2040s, the generation now filling its schools, the one that will staff hospitals, police forces, businesses, and EU institutions, will reflect a new demographic and ideological reality. Delivery rooms do not lie. Classrooms do not lie. And by 2045, neither will the ballot boxes in the heart of Europe. Sources * Statbel (Belgian statistical office): Population structure and births by forename, 2025. * Wallonia-Brussels Federation: Islamic ideological instruction enrollment data, late 2024. * Pew Research Center: Europe’s Growing Muslim Population (updated scenarios). * Reuters Fact Check: Demographic data verification, November 2025. * Brussels Institute of Statistics and Analysis: Local demographic and residential studies.

If striking down birthright citizenship depends on ACB, then it isn't happening. I hope to be proven wrong, but I don't see her giving us a win here. At this stage of decline, we cannot solve every problem, as painful as that might be to accept. It's still important to try, as Trump did on this issue. We should be thankful he's fighting for us, even if ACB and Roberts are not.
