@RyanCarniato I get the Just Javascript constraint, but it leaves some ergonomics issues unaddressed. React's success was tied to JSX making component authoring more ergonomic. TSRX has introduced syntax to improve splitprops.

@lmxdev It isn't. SolidJS is as compiled as React was in 2015. We transform JSX nothing else. For some reason everyone treats us like some compiler but really we are a "Just JavaScript" library.

@DrAndyGalpin Your argument attacks assumptions no one has made. It's a lot easier to train your quads with high intensity than your abs. If the only quad exercise you could do is air-squats, then it would be reasonable to do them every day for high reps.

Your abs recover faster, so you should train them every day. That's the logic. It sounds reasonable until you actually check whether the premise is true. The "train abs daily" belief rests on two assumptions: that core muscles are predominantly slow-twitch, and that slow-twitch fibers recover faster and therefore need higher frequency. There's something right about the second part. But the first part is where the reasoning starts to fall apart. So here's the question to ask: if you don't actually train your quads every day, why would you assume your abs need it? Autopsy data going back to the early 1990s shows that most core muscles are roughly 50/50 fast- and slow-twitch — almost identical to something like your vastus lateralis (your quads). The muscle you'd never dream of hammering seven days a week. And when you look at the actual literature, there's no evidence that the training principles for your abs should differ from those for your quads.

@hubermanlab Why don't the FDA and governments worldwide ban the use of plastic containers for food, if it's as harmful to health as claimed? Are the studies on microplastic contamination conclusive that it's dangerous?

@levelsio @tropianhs It's not clear how a woman doing shit tests prepares her in case a man leaves. It seems more like she's testing whether he's faking his natural competency in his role, or perhaps preparing for her children to survive if she were incapacitated?

For children to survive in case a man leaves, women need to take up the men's role (protecting and providing) which is called "partner compensation" and "maternal adaptability" Shit tests are like tests of your ability to be your natural role, she attacks you in a way to test you, if you're weak and let her do it, that's a fail, if you're strong and block it, that's passing the test, which is just "mate assessment" Women are usually not aware they do these tests, but many men are Talking about this is unpopular and most men don't know this is the case yet

@fmfclips If these plastics are causing cancer when in contact with food, why are they still legal? Shouldn't a government body be responsible for food safety rather than individual members of the public relying on their own knowledge?

Black plastic utensils and takeout containers are often loaded with carcinogens Coffee cup lids, rotisserie chicken trays, spatulas, and even some straws are frequently made from recycled electronics, bringing brominated flame retardants (known carcinogens) into direct contact with your food/beverage And when that hot food or drink comes in contact, heat dramatically speeds the leaching of brominated chemicals, BPA, and microplastics straight into what you’re about to consume It’s a best practice to minimize use of black plastic utensils and to-go containers, especially if they contain hot food
