Why can’t John Thune hold a 3 a.m, 5 senator voice vote to pass the SAVE act?

John Thune has destroyed every single Senate norm that he claimed to cherish. He set a far bigger and more dangerous precedent than abolishing the filibuster.

I have been saying this for MONTHS. Unfortunately, many Senators care more about their POWER than they do about actually DELIVERING for the American people. I don’t give a rip about “Senate procedure.” Let’s nuke the filibuster, fund DHS, and pass the SAVE America Act.

I am done with Senate Republicans. Their failure to fully fund DHS is not just disappointing—it’s a disgrace. They refused to fund ICE units that target sex traffickers. They refused to fund Border Patrol agents. And where is the SAVE America Act? Once again, they have failed the American people. They have made one thing clear: Americans’ safety is not their priority.

Yes, the world -- outside of MAGA and Israel -- knows that the US and Israel are not winning this war right now. For that reason, they can't stop now. The damage of such a defeat would be generational. The huge risk is that the US/Israel escalate out of desperation and panic.

Why has there been no accountability for treason & sedition? One reason is the DOJ is trying to use a system that was almost completely captured by the Deep State to go after the Deep State & it’s not working. Inside DOJ career bureaucrats & political operatives are systematically & deliberately subverting the Admin & too many prosecutors are more afraid of the Deep State than those currently in power. This DOJ leadership inherited a mess but it is not their job to defend it - they were elected to expose & correct it. It is not their job to keep prosecuting unjust cases brought by the corrupt & politically motivated. It is not their job to block civil cases brought agst the govt by those who were targeted & persecuted. Just be honest with the American people. Do the right thing.
