🚨 HORRIFIC, PLEASE SHARE HER FACE - STARVED DOG TO A HORRIFIC & PAINFUL DEATH OVER MONTHS ⚠️ LUCY CRADDOCK, 27 🌍 LEOMINSTER HEREFORD CONVICTED | Lucy Marie Craddock, 27, from #leominster, Herefordshire HR6 – for “extreme levels of neglect and cruelty” towards a dog presented dead on arrival at the vet.. Craddock guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to an American bulldog called Ocean. The RSPCA investigated Craddock after she took Ocean’s skeletal remains to a local vet practice on June 13, 2025. The deceased pet, who was wrapped in a duvet, was covered in faeces and urine. Examination found that she was extremely emaciated with sunken eyes. She weighed just 7kg against an ideal weight for her breed of around 30kg. Craddock reportedly told the vet that Ocean had been “off her food for several days and she was hand-feeding her”. However, a post-mortem concluded that the dog had died from prolonged starvation. She had little muscle fat and was also suffering from pressure sores. There was evidence that she had eaten her own faeces in her desperation for food. Handing out a rare immediate prison sentence, magistrates told Craddock that having viewed the “distressing” photos of Ocean’s body, they could not accept that she was unaware that the dog was suffering. They added: “Given the extreme level of neglect and cruelty, only an immediate custodial sentence could be justified.” Sentencing | 16-week custodial; £154 victim surcharge. Disqualified for life from having anything to do with animals. ukanimalcrueltyfiles.org/leominster-her… Hereford Times (archived): archive.md/59Aqg

⚠️ DOG ABUSER - MAKE HER FAMOUS 🚨 CONVICTED | Joanne Oakes, 39, from #pontefract, West Yorkshire WF8 - left her pet dog to die in a crate. Oakes was prosecuted by the RSPCA after her chihuahua-cross Ruby was found starved to death in her crate. In August 2024, RSPCA officers were called to a property on Yew Tree Walk in Knottingley after concerns were raised about Ruby’s welfare. Oakes had apparently left the dog in the care of her mother, Debbie Oakes, without the latter's consent, and had failed to make arrangements for her care. Joanne Oakes pleaded guilty to two offences under the Animal Welfare Act. RSPCA inspector Hannah Williams said: "Poor Ruby had been suffering for weeks before her tragic death. "The conditions she was living in were unacceptable, and her most basic needs were not being met." Sentencing | 26 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months; 270 hours of unpaid work; ordered to pay £250 in costs and a £154 victim surcharge. 10-year ban. === Debbie Oakes and Joanne’s brother, Colin Oakes, were also charged but failed to attend court, and arrest warrants were issued for both of them. What the authorities don’t understand is that we aren’t fighting for a “cause.” We’re fighting for our families. And we are not giving up until every last pup is safe and free.

🚨⚠️ ANIMAL ABUSER ❗SHAKIRA PERRY, 34 🚨 CARDIFF CONVICTED | Shakira Perry, 34, from Llanrumney, Cardiff CF3 but with family links to the Roath CF24 area of Cardiff – abandoned a cat and two dogs for days without food or water. On 12 March 2025, RSPCA Inspector Sophie Daniels attended the Llanrumney address of mother-of-three Shakira Perry. Tape seals had already been placed on the door by a colleague on 10 March with a follow-up visit on on 11 March. In a witness statement to the court, Inspector Daniels said: “As I got out of my van, a long hair tabby and white cat came from the right hand side of the front garden where there were some pieces of furniture and rubbish bags and followed me to the front door crying. “The cat appeared to be in a reasonable body condition and had large mammary glands, suggesting it had recently had kittens. “The previously placed seals on the front door were still intact and there was no reply at the property. There were lights on in the main room and upstairs. “The curtains were mostly drawn in the front room, but a tan French Bulldog jumped up onto the sill through the small gap between the curtains. It was difficult to assess body condition, as there were also blinds that almost extended down to the sill.” She continued: “The dog did however appear to be lean around the chest area that I could see. I couldn’t see any other animals inside from my restricted viewpoint. “The dog did not have access to the hallway for me to provide it with food by the letterbox as the internal door was closed.” Inspector Daniels managed to track down and speak with Perry and arranged to meet but she failed to turn up. The following day the tape seals were still intact on the front door. RSPCA Inspector Daniels saw the same cat who was again “crying” and following her around, while the same French Bulldog could be seen in the front window. She said: “In the light, I was able to see a better view of the dog’s body condition and could see that the ribs were very prominent.” As Inspector Daniels was unable to contact Perry, officers from South Wales Police attended to force entry to the property and retrieved two French Bulldogs from inside.. She said: “The tan dog that had been seen in the front room, which was male and thin with rips, hips and spine visible and a second dog,, a black and tan female, that was also thin and had an odd gait when walking. “I was advised that there was no food or water available inside and that the back door was locked from the inside with a key in the lock.” All three animals were seized and taken to RSPCA Merthyr Tydfil Veterinary Surgery for an examination. The two dogs were “both very keen to eat” and the cat returned to drink water three times when offered. Perry pleaded guilty to an Animal Welfare Act offence for failing to provide adequate care, a suitable diet, and a safe environment for her pets. In mitigation it was heard that she had been “dealing with bereavements and personal issues”. Following sentencing RSPCA Inspector Sophie Daniels said: “All animals deserve to be treated with kindness and should have their needs met. “Thankfully both dogs made an improvement in their body condition and all three have been doing well in our care.” Sentencing | four-week custodial suspended for two years; 10-day ‘rehab’ requirement; nine-month alcohol treatment requirement; £400 costs and £154 victim surcharge. Banned from keeping all animals for a woeful two years. Source UKACF

⚠️PLEASE PLEASE RETWEET THE HELL OUT OF THIS KITTEN ABUSER 🚨 BEN MURKIN, ELY ⚠️KNOW HIS FACE⚠️ A sadistic animal abuser has avoided prison after inflicting catastrophic injuries on a kitten after throwing it at a wall, a door and down the stairs. Ben Murkin, of Mill Lane, Fordham, Ely, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on March 6 to be sentenced in a prosecution brought forward by the RSPCA. On March 6, 2024, a veterinary practice was contacted by a family member who said Murkin's cat Whisper had fallen and was struggling to breathe. By the time they arrived at the practice with Whisper, the kitten had already passed away after being in immense pain and suffering. Whisper's death was reported to the RSPCA after concerns about the injuries. An independent post mortem found that Whisper had suffered injuries including a bruised head, a left eye haemorrhage, reddening and bruising of the tail area, and multiple injuries to limbs, consistent with a strong human grip. Murkin claimed the injuries occurred when he was carrying out CPR. The post mortem also found evidence of current and old rib fractures and a fracture on the lumber vertebrae. He had also ignored advice from the bet to bring the cat back on two occasions. These included after bringing in the kitten for limping after a supposed fall in December 2023 and in February 2024 after treatment for a fractured tooth and red gums. Some of the specific acts of cruelty detailed in court included kicking Whisper against a wall, picking her up by the tail and throwing her down the stairs, and throwing Whisper against the door. The expert vet concluded in their report: “It is my expert opinion that clearly Whisper suffered as a result of the injuries she sustained however they were caused. She sustained multiple and severe injuries both to her lip and upper canine, to her ribs on the right hand side and then to her face, chest and abdomen in the final incident. “All of these will have caused her to suffer pain and distress. The final set of injuries the duration of the suffering will only have lasted as long as she remained conscious which is likely to have been a short period of time. “It is my expert opinion that the injuries sustained by Whisper were the result of deliberate and intentional trauma inflicted upon her by a person with the intention of her causing her serious harm and suffering.” The court heard he got Whisper with his girlfriend as emotional support as he was lonely. When the relationship ended, he started to resent the cat. The judge described Murkin's actions as an "extraordinary response". The judge noted this had been "astonishing cruelty to an animal" and said Murkin had committed other acts of physical violence on the cat. The offence was placed in the highest category because the injuries were "prolonged and repeated, inflicted with significant force, and resulted in death". Murkin had pleaded guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to Whisper by inflicting trauma causing injury and for failing to provide prompt veterinary treatment, in respect of the injury to the cat’s gums and fractured canine tooth. He was given a 22-month prison sentenced that has been suspended for 18 months. He has been ordered to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work and 20 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days. He has been banned for keeping all animals for life and was ordered to pay £500 court costs and £187 victim surcharge. RSPCA Inspector Emily Astillberry said: "The actions in this case were of astonishing cruelty to a defenceless animal. It is heart-breaking to hear what Whisper - this small ragdoll kitten - had to endure such cruel and sustained suffering. She was still so young when she died and had to endure such pain and suffering during this short life.”
