@chirno_helmet My Yamaha drums (from the late 1980's) are awesome. Craftsmanship beyond compare for a mass market product. Cameras, knives, instruments and sensors... not to mention art and food. Great stuff.

🚨🚨BREAKING: The #NFL has REJECTED Minnesota’s bid to host the 2028 Draft less than FOUR hours after the request was submitted by the Minneapolis Mayor. The league believes Minneapolis is a potential safety risk for violence, cannibalism, and theft towards tourists visiting the city. The NFL will instead look at safer cities like Detroit and Chicago as suitable hosts for the 2028 draft. WOW. 😳😳😳

Two more bids up north next week, one on Gull Lake and one in Pequot Lakes. With a little luck, I’m (my family) going to be spending a month at the family cabin while I work in the area this summer.

I've been thinking about this all day - why would a politician move to another state and run for local office? The top tier of Minnesota elected leaders are all from other states - Walz is from Nebraska, Ellison is from Michigan, Angie Craig is from Arkansas, Tina Smith is from New Mexico. Why would you move to another state and then want to represent those people? Wouldn't it make more sense for all of these politicians to try to win an election in their home state - a place where they understand the people? And why would the citizens trust anyone from another state to represent them?

The Senate has a one-vote DFL majority. It is conceivable that an assault weapons ban could pass the upper chamber on a strict party line vote. Besides Seeberger, the potential DFL opponents are Grant Hauschild of Hermantown and Rob Kupec of Moorhead.  Hauschild texted Friday that he is “still looking” at the bill. Kupec did not respond to messages. minnpost.com/state-governme…

The town near our cabin just got nominated for the best town in the Midwest. I’m voting against it. It’s a terrible place filled with awful people.

@LibertyMarieEP On top of same-day, "vouched" registration, MN does not have provisional ballots. So even if the new "voters" are discovered to be fraudulent the very next day, there is no way to determine which ballots to remove from the official count. It is by design.

This vouching thing and the lack of ID has got to go in MN. You only need to be a registered voter to vouch for up to 8 people. Once those people are vouched for and become registered voters, they can each vouch for up to 8 more—but not on Election Day. Think about this: one person vouching for 8 could generate thousands of new registered voters in weeks or months. It’s a pyramid scheme. Then there are buses of people going from precinct to precinct on Election Day to get vouched for. A person could vote at dozens of precincts under different names, as long as one registered voter vouches for them. They can make up names out of whole cloth, and the next voting year, they can vouch for others—even under a false name in a precinct where they don’t live. Why didn't I think of this earlier? Maybe because I don't have a criminal mind.

We’re so excited to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with Japan’s gift of 250 additional cherry trees! Keep an eye on our accounts as we celebrate both the 1912 gift and the 2026 gift of cherry blossoms throughout the festival season! Together we bloom!🌸

@yesnicksearcy @RepThomasMassie Sure. Massie is truly an America First fiscal hawk who opposes our involvement in foreign wars (same as MAGA used to be!). So the Institute obviously supports that anti-war policy. Massie is more MAGA than MAGA! Trump bootlickers are too stupid to realize it!

@MinnesotaDFL Somewhere between 50 and 60 percent of the voting public of MN is the "gun lobby." Your position is the outlier.

@kayakr31 @KyleClark @Marshall9News @nexton9news @grok They moved because of Colorado's AI regulations. Palantir is an AI software company with critical national security contracts. It is more likely they don't want to risk losing those contracts and potential new customers because of moronic CO politicians.

Our local jails are pre-trial facilities. That means that the people being held there have not yet been convicted of a crime. When ICE takes people away before they have been convicted of a crime, they are preventing victims and witnesses from their opportunity to seek justice.
