@cbodor2 @RonDeSantis Ev tech is advancing so fast, even compared to last year it's a world of a difference. After buying my Tesla, never going back to ICE cars.

@RonDeSantis Sorry, Ron, EVs suck! Impractical except for warm weather city driving. Too much heat or cold and you are stuck. More like a golf cart; best pull a gasoline generator behind you to get anywhere.

I just put in an offer on a beautiful Texas ranch that’s 40 mins from home. I want my boys to drive a tractor on the weekends and chop down trees. I want them to get blisters, hunt deer in the fall and drive the cattle to the processor. That’s my dream. Fingers crossed.

🇺🇸💰 Ever wonder why European cities accepted so many refugees? Today, I'm over my jet lag and processing the documents I scanned this week. Already it's pretty shocking. The refugee influx into Europe began as a U.S. taxpayer-funded subsidy. The U.S. government literally paid European cities to take them in, using Soros-backed operations like ARC (American Refugee Committee) as the middlemen. Yes, ARC, co-founded with money from the Soros Humanitarian Fund, was running programs directly for the U.S. government. It goes even deeper and darker than that. Stay tuned.

@jamesjansson @PalmerLuckey @AOC So why are you contributing to the exploitation by using X? Have an iPhone ? Throw that sh!t away. Drive a nice car? Sell it. Put your money where your mouth is. Most of the nice things that you have, is because some billionaire "exploited" someone, don't be a hypocrite.

@PalmerLuckey @AOC Almost all of a billionaire's worth is from collecting the difference between the value of labor and the market price for labor. Is it exploitation? In a market where the gap between rich and poor is huge and expanding, I'd say there is some exploitation happening.

The single largest form of theft in America is wage theft. $50 billion a year are stolen from American workers. If a billionaire amasses their wealth by underpaying their full-time workers so severely that they must rely on food assistance and government programs to survive, then no, that wealth was not earned by one individual - it was a wealth transfer subsidized by underpaid American workers and the public who get stuck with the bill for large corporations free-riding off our systems. The point is less about individual morality. It’s more about how our current economic reality of shattering inequality rewards screwing over workers and exploiting essential systems at scale. We’re talking monopoly power. Rent-seeking. Wage theft. Profiteering. Stock buybacks. Destabilizing housing markets. Companies using SNAP/EBT to underwrite their wages. Massive government subsidies or contracts to corporations following lobbying and dark money in politics with little to no oversight or accountability. Some people get enraged that I draw attention to this. That’s on them. Let them call me shrill, dumb, inexperienced, girly, uneducated - these folks will say anything to distract from or undercut the truth that working people are getting screwed, and giving people a fair shake means we must have a grown conversation about reigning in abuse of power.
Marco Foster@MarcoFoster_

AOC: “There’s a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned. You can’t earn a billion dollars. You just can’t earn that. You can get market power, you can break rules, you can abuse labor laws, you can pay people less than what they’re worth, but you can’t earn that”

I started Oculus while I was living in a trailer working a minimum wage job. I spent years developing the technology and sold it less than 18 months after hiring my first employees. Most of the $2.3B purchase went to them on account of our shared ownership structure. Wish all you want, but you just aren't correct on this. Individual people create billions of dollars in value all the time.

I agree @SophieRaiin As Governor, I’ll also impose a 50% sales tax on OnlyFans purchases in addition to my 50% sin tax on OnlyFans creators. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. It is not to be bought or sold online. Our men and women deserve better.

History lesson for every American patriot: Border Patrol used to have interior offices all over the country — Las Vegas, Little Rock, Sacramento, Stockton, Livermore, Amarillo, and more. Every president slowly shut them down and moved the agents to the border. The message became clear: get 100 miles north and you’re basically home free. Drive through any community along our southern border today , you won’t see illegal aliens there because they fear the Mean Green Team will round them up. That’s exactly how enforcement should work everywhere. Imagine if interior enforcement had never stopped. Would we have the hundred million here today? This wasn’t an accident, it was policy. Time to fix it. And how are those self deportation numbers looking??? x.com/hernandoarce/s…

There needs to be something done about skyrocketing property taxes in America “In the 4 years since I bought my house, my property taxes have increased 30%” There needs to be protections against this. Americans and seniors are losing their homes this way A 30% increase in property taxes in 4 years could mean $200+ monthly added to your payment. Add increased mortgage insurance to account for the new home value and that adds up quickly This must be regulated

For perspective: each dot is American workers. The tiny yellow cluster are the H-1B workers <0.5% of the workforce. That’s what’s being framed as a ‘crisis.’ There’s no Indian takeover. There are no talented unemployed Americans being replaced. This debate is being driven more by emotion than by the actual numbers.

@chrisman Ask them what the consequences should be for homeschooling parents who fail to educate children. Then ask what the consequences should be for public schools that do the same. The difference in answers is the game.

These anti-homeschool arguments always compare homeschooling to to a perfectly functioning public school system that only exists in their imagination. Meanwhile in the real world, 54% of American adults read below a 6th grade level.
Jill Filipovic@JillFilipovic

Right, if homeschooling is actually super high quality, then homeschooling families should not object to being evaluated, tested, and checked-in-on to make sure their kids are actually learning.

🧵🚨 BREAKING: Miles Taylor: "Anonymous," former DHS Chief of Staff, Google security executive launched a website called GTFO ICE that collects your full name, email, phone number, and zip code to join an anti-ICE "rapid response network." And publishes the user infromation via a public API. 🚨 17,662 people have signed up. The sign-up data is exposed on a public REST API. No true authentication. No rate limiting. Full records: names, emails, phone numbers, zip codes, timestamps. The man who ran the third-largest federal department (250,000 employees, $60 billion budget) who oversaw election security architecture and led counterterrorism operations, then served as Google's Head of National Security Policy... ...can't secure a sign-up form. But he does milk hundreds of thousands of NGO dollars on these credentials. While freeloading off his fame as the person who wrote the infamous NYT article "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration." And despite me pinging @MilesTaylorUSA about this 12 hours ago, the REST API is still wide open and exposed as of now. Everything has been turned over to FBI, HSI, ICE, and more agencies. As always, patience as I pull together the thread. 👇

Chinese businessman brought 37 H-1B workers into America for his non operative day care centres. He charged each worker $20,000. That's a neat $740,000 for doing very little. His modus operandi: 📌Start a kindergarten. 📌Claim he can't find local workers. 📌Bring a large number of workers from China. 📌Close down the centre, claiming his workers ran away. 📌Buy a champagne gold BMW. 📌Send the money overseas. 📌Start again.
