After four remarkable years @OnboardGlobal, I’m saying goodbye. These years held one of the hardest and most meaningful work of my life as a designer yet. I spent them architecting how simple and beautiful a money app could look and behave even when powered by something as complex as crypto In v0, Onboard was a self-custody crypto wallet. In v1, we embedded a virtual card. In v2, we introduced USD banking. And in v3, we unified all three into one simplified money app designed to expand access to financial services for people across the Global South. Receiving. Sending. Spending Stablecoins and global currencies without friction. When we started, there was no playbook. Very few consumer companies were using crypto to solve the friction of global payments, and the solution wasn’t an easy one to tackle. But we stayed the course. The Onboard squad built from scratch nearly every layer of money orchestration that required us grow. I tell everyone that Onboard app is/was my baby. I designed every interface, nearly every touchpoint, every journey. We spent long days and sleepless nights building, debating and fighting for a fundamentally better alternative for how people experience money no matter where they are from. This is where I truly learned what it means to build from 0 → 1. It gives me deep pride to see Onboard, a product I poured myself into nominated for best designed product awards alongside companies like @Risevest and @nombahq. I still get excited when customers tweet about their experiences. The posts and DMs praising the product and experience mean more than I can explain. I keep a folder of them as reminders. More than anything, these moments confirm that the last four years were worth far more than I could have planned. I’m deeply grateful to God for the privilege to come this far and to impact the lives of people who’ve been locked out of global payments simply because of geography. I'm grateful for @YeleBademosi, our captain, for the inspiring trust and leadership. To my teammates and partners in excellence: Henry, Paul, Dami, Joy, Tori, Johnson, Nkwachi, Eno, and many others — thank you. It's been a privilege building along side you guys. Since starting my tech journey in 2019, this has been the longest I’ve committed to one core problem, one company, one mission. I’m excited about what’s next. Maybe a chapter where I bet on myself, help make platforms and explore tools that help people ship their best work, especially in an AI-native world where anyone can build almost anything. Until then, Ciao 🤍

just having fun at this point. I made text bend to my hands. Used @_chenglou's Pretext library + MediaPipe hand tracking to build a page where words flow around your actual hands through the webcam. 2nd iteration will get v interesting

For the folks that are new to vibe coding, When you start a new project, what are you most afraid of getting wrong?

MVP done @darasoba Currently learning how to build and ship with AI through Dara Soba’s course, and it pushed me to actually build something real. My former landlord always struggled to track leases across his 4 apartments. With 20–30 tenants constantly messaging about rent, lease dates, and maintenance, things got messy quickly. He didn’t need a huge property management tool built for large portfolios, just something simple to manage everything in one place. So I’m building Proppy, a small creative side project. I’ll be refining th in public as the product evolves. Tech stack: Next.js, Supabase, Tailwind CSS, Shadcn. This is the first time I’ve really gotten the hang of using Claude in the terminal and building directly through it. PS: I didn’t open Figma once. Ideation, concept, and the product itself were all done directly in the terminal. As a new age designer 😂, that feeling is amazing. This is just the first version: I’ll be sharing iterations, ideas, interactions and refinements here on X. Open to feedback 🚀

@lottabydesign Tell it to run a research on what it is if you really care. Basically educate yourself before saying yes

What do you do when Claude tells you to install something you've never heard of?

@lottabydesign Using the wrong tech stack. So I tell AI to write a prd and plan a scaffolding beforehand. Can't go wrong with that

@lottabydesign When I started, my fear was missing structure. With my experience using Figma, I understood what building a working product with poor structure would mean
