For the same price as Matheus Fernandes (£85m) we’ve signed both Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.

This is every meaningful metric to compare midfielders too and I have to say, there isn't a huge amount of statistical difference on a per 90 between Tielemans (pink) and Fernandes (green). Both better in some than the other. Both great players.
United got a bargain. Spurs got a superb talent.
Second image shows across the season where Fernandes is clear but more mins were played.
Lets all laugh at Newcastle and Villa instead.

Bruno Guimarães at 28 is valued at over £90m, while Youri Tielemans at 29 is valued at around £35m. All I know is that one year of age isn’t worth a £55m difference. Apart from ball carrying, Tielemans matches or outperforms Bruno Guimarães in almost every key metric. His ability to strike the ball from distance gives us another way to score when teams sit deep. He also REJECTED a new deal for us. Both Santos & Tielemans cost exactly £85m, Matues Fernandes alone is worth £85m. I think we got the better deal, regardless of the price. 3 signings in 5 days, INEOS are the truth, United fans should be excited!
