Big company buys a successful smaller company and ruins it because of profits for shareholders. It is happening time and time again. Sometimes, the “smaller” company is not that small, as in the case of Southwest Airlines. Big companies do not care about the quality of the service or product.

Dave’s Killer Bread became extremely popular, it’s America’s Number 1 organic bread brand and is now a billion dollar brand It’s so popular because it was healthy, unfortunately the ingredients have drastically changed after being bought out by the parent company of Nature’s Own Early versions of their bread were much simpler and some only had about 10 ingredients That’s all changed after the acquisition Newer versions of the bread now contain 25+ ingredients with some having 30+ ingredients The ingredients were added for large-scale commercial production, consistency, shelf life and texture Fans of the bread have reported taste and texture changes saying its drier and denser Every food brand is eventually destroyed by a monopoly buying them up It’s the illusion of choice in America

Dear @SouthwestAir: Your new seating rules and boarding procedures are a DISASTER. Boarding is chaos. Deboarding is even worse. Your new boarding order leads to front bins being filled by back seaters before longtime A-Listers even board. This leads to madness upon deboarding as people go against the flow of traffic to get the carry-ons they had to stash 20 rows behind them. And because you no longer allow two bags to be checked for free, there are way more carry-ons, which only leads to longer boarding and deboarding times. There’s simply no reason to fly Southwest anymore. You don’t have the lowest fares. Miles and status don’t matter because of how badly you dorked up boarding. And the service quality has gone waaaaay down, with fun and cheery flight attendants being replaced by nasty, bossy cranks with bad attitudes. It doesn’t have to be this way. You used to be the best. You should go back to doing the things that made Southwest different and great.
