This is something I coudn't do. Even if I wanted to buy ball and boot, I would disclose it. To dey lie about book wey no exist, is not my thing. I remember one holiday my dad called me and my brother and asked what our school fees were. My bro who was in Covenant then, said N500k. I said N8k, and three of us burst laugh. My dad just told me to go that my own is not what he is talking about. School fees or books, I no dey increase. I no fit scam my parents. I don't know how people do it, especially when you know your parents don't have it

I remember an incidence that happened some years back. Might be a bit long, so just scroll past if you don’t have time for one of my numerous nonsense experiences in life. So I landed at MM2 a tad late. Say past 11pm ,and booked a car hailing service (name withdrawn) to head to my house then at Ago palace way. Driver arrived and we got the trip started. Just after we passed Sam Ethnan airforce gate, I noticed a sudden but unnecessary swerve, so I stopped punching the keypads on my phone to observe further. We got to the roundabout before the toll gate, and he almost missed it, so I knew driver was dozing off, and I asked him to park on the sides. Pleaded with him to allow me drive while he took a power nap to help him clear up, and he agreed. This was after he’d told me how he was hustling to meet up funds to send to his second daughter that was in school and needed some text books. Man said he hadn’t slept a wink in over 48hrs bruh. He slept all through the journey. We got to my compound, and I asked if he’d eaten. He said he had fufu and Egusi for breakfast, and that usually carried him the whole day. I got us some suya and can beers. I wanted to still be sure he wasn’t lying, so I asked him to show me the list of books his daughter sent him that she needed. She was supposedly studying anatomy, and for someone that did medicine for a few years, the books were clearly lies mehn. Just made up names to take money from a hustling father. I mean, some of us did all of that, but at least our dads didn’t have to sleep on the wheels for the coins. Of course I didn’t tell the man. That would have broken him. I just added 20k to his charge and transferred to him (don’t judge, that was what I could spare at the time). He was grateful and asked if he could sleep till break of dawn in his car, as he didn’t even want to come in.

Just leave a note meeting her know you are aware, and she should tell the kids who their father is. Important to inform her parents so she doesn’t go lying to them. Then disappear. Just plan your disappearance. Or you can do old school by sending her and the kids back to her father, let her explain to them who the boys’ father is.

I am begging you in the name of God: if you cannot take good care of your partner after marriage, please don’t even think of getting married. What I witnessed yesterday at a community hospital shocked me to my core. I was called to donate blood to a young woman who had undergone a Caesarean section. By the time I arrived, she had already received three pints of blood, and I became the fourth donor. Yet, her husband was nowhere to be found. He did not contribute a single kobo towards the blood or the screening costs. I had to pay for the blood screening myself. The most painful part? They didn’t even have a single diaper, let alone baby clothes. If the baby had survived, what exactly was the plan? Nothing had been prepared. Nothing. Sadly, the baby passed away. May Allah forgive the child and grant the mother strength. But the whole situation left me angry and asking difficult questions. How do you keep making babies without making plans? Pregnancy gives you nine months’ notice. Nine whole months to prepare financially and emotionally, yet some people still choose irresponsibility. Marriage is not just about making love and producing children. It is about responsibility. If you are not ready to provide, protect, and stand by your wife when she needs you the most, then stay single and stop ruining innocent lives. And to women, please choose your spouse wisely. Some men are not husbands; they are liabilities. A man who disappears when his wife is fighting for her life has no business calling himself a husband or a father.

A word of advise to those who care to listen: If you are the kind that is already having mental health issues, prone to depression or easily plunged into a state of deep gloom, the UK is not a place for you. The JAPA syndrome should not concern you if you do not want to make matters worse for yourself. Here in Nigeria, there is still a sense of family and togetherness. You can still find people to share your sorrows with and laugh off shege with fellow shegelites. Over there in the Western world, it is your shege your business. Your inner shege will consume you and rehab yapa for there. Your near depression state here will surely be completed when you move over there. Not all open doors of opportunities should you walk through as some lead to the abyss and however bad your situation is, be careful how you decide, it can always be worse.

MOB JUSTICE CLAIMS THE LIFE OF ISLAMIC TEACHER IN JOS Malama Ummulkhairi, a respected Islamic teacher and mother of more than five children, left her home in Maraban Jos to attend a religious lecture by respected Islamic scholars, including Malam Umar Wali. The event was scheduled to take place at Madrasatul Tashiyhul Iman, a school associated with Malama Mardiyya. After becoming separated from her companions and asking for directions to the venue, Ummulkhairi approached some children and asked for directions. Moments later, a group of women allegedly accused her of attempting to kidnap children. She was taken to a police station, where family representatives and community leaders testified that she was a well-known teacher and that there was no evidence against her. Despite this, an angry mob gathered outside. Appeals for calm and due process were ignored. In broad daylight, near the police station, she was brutally killed and burned alive. A motorcycle belonging to one of the scholars pleading for her safety was also set ablaze. Today, her children are without their mother. Her husband left home with a healthy wife and returned only to witness the aftermath of unimaginable violence. This tragedy raises painful questions: How many innocent people must die before we reject mob justice? When accusations become death sentences and evidence no longer matters, nobody is safe. Jungle justice does not fight crime, it only destroys innocent lives, weakens the rule of law and fuels insecurity. If we continue down this path, we will not defeat crime; we will only create a society ruled by fear, suspicion, and violence. May Almighty Allah forgive Malama Ummulkhairi, accept her among the righteous and grant her family the strength to bear this devastating loss.
