@tonystubblebine I would sign up for a Medium account if you would reverse the absurd policy of not allowing passwords. Dumbing us all down to social logins or "magic links" is insulting and reduces actual security when we have things like MFA, biometrics and password managers.

@dhh @1Password Came to say I fucking hate magic links. You might as well say to your users "We know you're too dumb to manage a password, so we're going to forcefully jam up your inbox instead." Because we all know email is 100% secure and never gets compromised. Smfh.

I wouldn't say I hate magic links with a passion, but if they're the only option on an app, I'm actively in the market for an alternative. When using something like @1password, login is already single click, even with 2FA. That's imo the ideal flow. No lock-in, full speed.

I hate "magic link" sign-ins with a passion. I refuse to use an app that exclusively offers this instead of password based or social login (Google/GitHub). Open inbox, wait for email, click link, now I have two tabs open, sign-in, do it all over again every time uggghh FML. I have a password manager that auto-fills and even clicks the sign-in button automatically. Chrome even has it built-in. Using that, passwords are superior. End of story. Change my mind ;)

what the fuck is the "com.apple.provenance" xattr and why is it on EVERYTHING I googled it and literally *not a single* result came up (like, if I put it in quotes then it just fails)

@jumpdesktop Hey 👋 I'm sure you guys know, but iOS v9.6.8 (the latest as of this writing) no longer stays connected in the background. After a few minutes of being backgrounded, upon return you get "Protocol Problem". This was a killer feature—hope it can be fixed!

@alfredapp Excited for A5!🎩 Can I suggest a feature? Allow Universal Actions to appear or not based on a regex pattern match. This would be a lot better than just "txt" or "url". My Universal Actions list is long and unwieldy—having it limited by regex would make it a lot more usable!
