@DrRJSimpson @NHSForthValley These walking aids are collected, checked and those fit for repurpose are cleaned and re-issued. It has been a hugely successful system which has cut down on the need to buy new walking aids thus saving NHS forth valley money.

@Teesbeesandcees Grandma always liked her on countdown. I say almost single handedly going after the corrupt government is on a par to the approval of Patricia J Mc!

@_dawnwillbreak I think the confusion is the difference between occupation health and occupational therapy. You could potentially self refer yourself to occupational therapy depending on which area of Glasgow you are in. glasgowcity.hscp.scot/find-service/s…

@physiotalk I don't think anyone in our community service feels we are delivering the rehab we want or that patients deserve. Too often we feel we are fire frightening to prevent admission, or carrying out work on behalf of other services. Long waiting lists not helping #physiotalk

@fnd_me Well done! I just realised you must be in the same year as my friend Kat. I know you'll be exhausted after a week of placement but when you're able would you mind if I chatted to you about your FND experience. I'm a physio who is really passionate about improving our treatment..

@guardiannews If hotels are being used as care facilities then surely that's to relief the pressure from care providers and not the NHS. If you purely require a care package then you don't need the NHS surely.

@DeclanOKane92 @william_cuham @ChrisGreenNews What would your exit strategy be out of this? I appreciate you dislike vaccines and dislike lockdowns, so just curious as to what your alternative would be?

We've been identified as a "cluster" and have been told to ensure social distancing but given the space we work in, it's extremely difficult

Or another way of saying this is... there ISN’T enough PPE to go around so we want our brave NHS staff to work harder and take more risks! 🤨 And can someone please tell me why a COVID patient coughing during rehab isn’t classed as a high risk AGP that doesn’t require full PPE?

@AvrilKilkelly @Maybemayo @AdamMeakins Can I ask which trust you are please @AvrilKilkelly? We are having the same thought process in the community (seeing only urgent patients to prevent hospital admissions). Being inches from their face and mobilising with questionable PPE is making us nervous!

@Maybemayo @AdamMeakins It wasn’t obvious initially- took a lot of lobbying from CSP and our clinical leads to get physio recognised. My first week on COVID wards we only had basic PPE- apron, gloves, surgical masks with no eye protection- and patients coughing continuously with any sort of mobility

All Stirling Council schools will now close with the exception of education settings providing temporary care to the children of key essential workers. The decision comes after today's announcement from @scotgov News: 🔗stirling.gov.uk/news/2020/marc…

@DavieBoy79 @N1JYX @chris_sutton73 You have summer clubs to put kids into over summer. Plus families divide up their annual leave to provide care for holidays. This is not the same.

Writing a new book & annoyed about the HUGE diff in Starting ages in the UK. Eg in England a child may start school days after they have turned 4 (& defer only to days after their 5th birthday), whereas in Scotland they can be almost 6 years old! Why the disparity?! #education
