@3rdDegreeNet I think Norris had an outstanding game on a tough assignment; had Gozo locked down.

@PremLeaguePanel Whats your reason for that? His duel ability is off the charts and he thrives on seeing the ball alot which will happen in deeper positions

If Rodri is staying then Elliott Anderson’s next club should be obvious to him & his agent. The 6 role he plays for England isn’t actually his optimal role. He’s tailor-made to play the connecting role that Bernardo Silva will leave vacant at Man City. His career will sky-rocket.

@AndreasSteno I spent 26 years in the UK and the last 20 in the USA. Disposable income is way higher here. My sister lives in Spain and it's the same. I would love to see how they calculated this chart because it does not reflect the reality I've observed or experienced

And just to give one example of why GDP per capita is useless as a metric. See Ireland here. Do you really think that the Ireland is SO MUCH wealthier than the US and all European counterparts? Ireland has made a business model out of "laundering" GDP, by offering to host companies on cheap tax-terms, which means that they attract GDP that is basically not produced in Ireland. There is a bit of that effect in play in the US versus EU comparison as well.

Just to add some nuance to the propaganda here. If you look at the median rather than the mean, which is what actually reflects how most people live, the picture changes quite a bit. Once you also account for unavoidable out of pocket costs like healthcare and education, life in the US looks much more average, and often falls behind Northern European countries for the typical person. The US model clearly creates immense wealth at the very top, but for the vast majority of people, median living standards are what really matter. And by that measure, the story is far less impressive than it is often made out to be.

@LotusHints @MichaelAArouet As someone who spent the first 26 years in the UK and the last 20 in the USA, I believe quality of life is better here — mainly due to much higher disposable income and living standards. My sister lives in Spain and we visit often. The EU is wonderful to visit, but not to live.

This chart makes me laugh every time I see it. The UK, France and Italy are poorer than the poorest US state, Mississippi. Canada and Germany are poorer than the second-poorest US state. The gap will widen. And don’t come with “free healthcare.” You pay for it with absurd taxes

This whole international camp suggests England think they are better than they actually are. 2 games spent investigating who will make up squad members 21-26, meanwhile we don't have a settled starting XI, that should be building confidence and gelling at every opportunity.

England are not in the class of France, Argentina or Spain. But they do have some exceptional talent. Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are world class. So is John Stones - at his best. Trent Alexander-Arnold is world class - in possession. Declan Rice is having the season of his life. There are more reasons to be positive going into this tournament than negative. But England have to be bold and play to their strengths.  Imagine if England were bold and, if all fit, went into the World Cup… Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.  Stones would have some covering to do of Alexander-Arnold when he raced upfield. Bellingham gets heavily scrutinised but he’s a big-game player, a winner and used to pressure at Real Madrid. He has to start. England also have an exceptional head coach in Thomas Tuchel who can make the right changes at the right time. England have a chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the World Cup and then anything’s possible. But only if they are bold. Not gung-ho. But bold. Risk/reward. #ENG

@InvertTheWing This isn’t top 26 based on talent you twat. It’s based on defining the tournament. Teams like England have many players able to define their road to the final. Smaller/less talented teams will rely heavier on players like Pulisic. I know critical thinking is hard for spurs fans

Kenyon Sadiq blew Brock Bowers’ combine out of the water and Bowers was a top 10 pick. 4.3 speed, with historic jumping ability. Don’t be surprised if the Chiefs land him at 9 if everyone they want is gone. Veach took a big swing with Worthy and might do the same with Sadiq.
