The incident happened Feb 18, 2025, at the Pendleton Pike Walmart in Lawrence, IN. The man, William Jerome Armstrong, was approached for parking in the fire lane, resisted arrest, and a fight broke out (he punched an officer per bodycam/police reports). He was arrested on preliminary charges of battery, resisting, and intimidation but released from jail the next day. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office declined to file any charges. Two officers were placed on administrative leave during an internal investigation. No further updates or warrants since.
