The actual root of the problem is birth control for unmarried people. Once sex was effectively divorced from child birth, women's hypergamy went into overdrive. Women biologically use sex to attract and keep a mate for provision and protection. With no consequences for trying to lock down a high status man using sex, women no longer needed 1 loyal mate. They could constantly try to upgrade by using sex. This is why marriage rates have plummeted. Women don't want a man on their level, and men can't trust that his wife will be loyal, if a better option is presented to her.

The fertility crisis has been nagging at me. I don’t believe any of the standard explanations work. Why is it so bad, and why is it happening everywhere? Phones? Sure, that seems to explain the last fifteen years. But the deeper question is why the iPhone has been such a successful invention, and why this keeps happening again and again: new technologies and economic developments always push in the same direction. We could have used economic growth to have more kids and do more socializing. Yet, for the most part, we have done the exact opposite over the last three quarters of a century. I believe the answer must be rooted in human nature. Imagine that humans have an optimal amount of solitude. Being alone allows you to hide food, rest, or think through your problems. Through most of our evolutionary history, we did not have many opportunities to be alone. So we evolved to try to be alone when possible. It is like obesity. We developed a simple heuristic to gorge on calorie-dense food because coming across such food was rare. It is unsatisfying to say that candy and potato chips cause obesity. These are proximate causes. The ultimate cause is the market giving us what we want. It is the same with iPhones, streaming, and other technologies that make solitude fun or easier. Unfortunately, this means that, as growth and technological development continue, solving this problem will become more and more difficult. Eventually, the only thing that worked for obesity on a scale large enough to change the results was drugs. Perhaps we need a GLP-1 for socialization? Until that comes, we should probably be judging new intellectual movements, technologies, and economic trends by whether they bring people physically together or move them apart. There's no easy solution here, and you may always be fighting human nature until cultural and genetic evolution have had time to shift it in another direction.

@bazingabazonka @GwenpostingTTV I don't think they had it as easy as most people think. Housing was cheap - end of list. Everything else was expensive. They didn't make any money. Everything was reused. Everyone fixed their own terrible cars. nobody vacationed. Interest rates were like 17%.

Men call women sluts with zero evidence, but need a full FBI investigation before believing a man is a rapist. That’s misogyny. One rumor can destroy a woman’s reputation. But a woman’s testimony about assault is never “enough.” A man accusing a woman is treated like truth. A woman accusing a man is treated like a lie until proven otherwise.

Ok, gloves off. Fuck it. CCP wants US open borders to dissolve the US and render it dysfunctional. FSB wants US closed borders to maximize multipolarity / break ties with allies in their backyard. Anybody pushing for any of these extremes is a useful idiot to foreign agents.

@Jason 1-3M per year turns into 10% of our population in just a decade! I'll do you one better, only allow immigrants in with 140+ IQ and that accept to assimilate to American culture, including speaking fluent English.

The best interest of America today, when it comes to expansion, is very simple: 1. SKIM THE CREAM: Recruit the smartest and most driven 1-3m people on the planet every year; < 1% of our population. They create companies and jobs, while taking that economic growth away from our rivals. 2. POWER THROUGH SHORTAGES: Allow for a modest number of worker visas based on our acute needs and an immigrant's willingness to assimilate (as seen in, say, learning to speak English before arriving). This is probably 100-500k a year on average… healthcare, agriculture etc. 3. STRATEGIC IMMIGRANTS: Allow dissidents and refugees when politically advantageous (ie from rivals) And of course cut off all illegal immigration to accomplish this.
Geiger Capital@Geiger_Capital

Before Hart-Celler in 1965 our nation's immigration system was severely restrictive with varying national quotas. Immigrants from many countries were outright banned. It was almost exclusively Europeans because the men before us wanted to preserve our own ethnic homogeneity, demographics, culture and social cohesion. They prioritized our nation and the economic interests of American workers instead of the feelings of weak men and cheap foreign labor. The last few decades of third-world mass immigration has not been in our nation's interest.

Yeah, this is all old shit everyone’s heard before and I’m just telling you that her hair and makeup have been done professionally on point for 20 years and this is the first time she’s had some kind of crazy bizarre hairdo and that usually means something is off. If I wanted to say something about what she actually said I would have.

Sage pisses me off because she’s the most wasted "super genius" in television history. Instead of using her peak intelligence to reverse engineer Compound V, engineer a targeted poison, or build a radiation weapon, she spends half her screen time giving herself lobotomies. She eats up runtime dropping basic, cynical observations that anyone could make, functioning as a glorified plot device with a metric ton of plot armor.

@blkemoji I'm not endorsing anything, just observing the situation. My advice to young men would just be to work on themselves until they are in that top 20%. Complaining does nothing, the best move is just to see the game for what it is and play to win.

I love when red pill dudes complain about "all women only want the top 20% of men!" as if that's some kind of aberration or a moral failure of modern women. My brother in Christ, it's like that in every species. Always has been. That's literally the mechanism by which evolution by natural selection works. It's the hardwired setting that ensures we keep getting better over time.

Do your rights come from God... or from men with guns? @Rach4Patriarchy says women only have rights because men allow us to have them. That doesn’t sound like the Declaration of Independence. That sounds like brute force politics. Once you accept that worldview, it won’t stop with women. Next it will be men who don’t own land, retirees, the disabled, and anyone the powerful... or whoever is holding the Autopen... decide has no “skin in the game.” That’s not America. That’s Somalia with better paperwork. Rachel thinks power creates rights. America says God gives rights... and government exists to protect them, not rescind them.
