many people don't know i am igbo, so i was lacing up my shoes to run one morning and these two women setting up their shops near my house were gossiping about me in igbo. one said she admires my dedication to exercise, the other said said sarcastically 'he doesn't have any problems in life. If he hasn't seen food to it, will he be running? It's rich people that exercise'.

“Abject poverty” is a generational problem that can’t be immediately fixed by one person, influencer or not. Every newly-successful person from a poor family tries their best to carry everyone along, but the fight against poverty doesn’t start with a fancy house. It starts with school fees/rent, food, healthcare and living expenses for a gazillion number of nuclear and extended family members! Sometimes you’ll be on one problem and a hundred other ones will be waiting to swallow all your money, making it difficult to even take care of yourself. And you’re the one making the money o. Please let’s try to be kinder to people, and also mind our business more, come 2026🙏🏾🥺

The visit highlights the renewed commitment of the Nigerian Army to strengthening civil–military relations and fostering collaboration with traditional institutions in support of national unity, peace and security. During the visit, General Shaibu reaffirmed the resolve of the Nigerian Army to work closely with community leaders to promote stability and coexistence across the country. His Eminence commended the Nigerian Army for its sacrifices and continued efforts in safeguarding lives and property, and prayed for sustained success in its constitutional responsibilities.
