CT, the future user doesn’t understand or care wtf intents or zero knowledge or even layer 0,1,2,♾️ means. They just want something that works (solves their grievances), is cheap(er), and is fast (like instant). #2 or 3 could even be the answer to #1. Intents obvs benefit the user, but ELI5 in your content and comms if you want regular folks to understand why you’re better than the competition.

Two thoughts from Mel Robbins “You can’t control how you feel. But you can always choose how you act.” “There’s one thing that is guaranteed to increase your feelings of control over your life: a bias toward action.”

The most important technical concept in AI in recent years was introduced by group comprised mostly of immigrants. The most important technology in the 21st century is largely coming out of the US today due to immigration. America should not take this for granted.

@paulg @johnmcdonnellMP agreed @paulg ! Do you have a mental framework to understand these cultural differences? I'm still trying to wrap my head around how people ultimately decide to vote for wanna be dictators, both in history and today.

@johnmcdonnellMP No, that is not the lesson. Trumpism isn't driven by economics. It's driven by cultural disagreements you may be reluctant to acknowledge. It would be a big mistake to remain in denial about this.

The key lesson of the Trump victory for us is that Labour has to deliver the significant improvement in quality of life that people can feel or we face the rise of right wing populism that has swept America. Half measures won’t be enough.

@EMostaque You can provably decarbonize both the data centers (more straight forward) and Bitcoin and other digital assets with @zerolabsx digital clean energy & programmable decarbonization. We've already done both, even decarbonized the first Bitcoin ETF 😎 mailchi.mp/zerolabs/decar…

@garrytan 💯! #UX is even more needed because of #ai products: 1/2 - if your life is filled with agents doing stuff for you, you'll need visualizations to keep track & decide. Just text or audio aren't the best for complex info: that's why we invented symbolic notation even for math

@garrytan 2/2 Autonomous agents products will still need to design some cognitive effort for their users in crucial parts. Donald Norman had imagined the downsides of an always on smart "teddy" to which we outsource our reflection & memorization (but it's very similar to phones+internet)

The rise of AI means *great* software is necessary again. After spending all day looking at demos so far today, I can say resolutely: Founders must learn how to make good user experiences again. I can tell immediately. I only want to fund people who can make great software.

@elonmusk this is only half of the picture: one should measure the level of racism "perceived"/experienced by different ethnic or racial groups in the US, in different times, to correlate if the increased use of the words in the media has indeed produced ± (perceived or actual) racism

This graph illustrates the woke mind virus taking over legacy media. Same happened with online media and the education system. Then it spread to other countries. Infection rate almost 100%. But now it will die.

@koeppelmann @robinhanson the point's interesting but, without having read the post yet,the title & premise bares a cherry picking fallacy:"incentives" is plural & it should be for all parties involved, also the billionaire. In this setup he's incentivized NOT to pay, & there's no opposing behavioral force

"Is all just about setting the right incentives" is a mantra many crypto people (including me) too often believe. @robinhanson shows in a very simple thought experiment that this is just wrong.
