@dholzric @1llegalEngineer 15kW is derated to 12kW continuous load. Something that size would likely be churning a inductive load with inrush current to account for.

@CyberRacheal Yes An RFC1122 reserved address space is strictly that, a reservation. Nothing stops you from downing your loopback interface, setting up 127/24 as a subnet and electing to use a different subnet for loopbacks. There's nothing special about the subnet.

Interviewer: You are configuring a new server. You assign it the IP address 127.0.0.1. Can another device on your network ping this server to verify it is online? YES or NO? 🤔

@stackallocator Except that they aren't actually predictable in many cases and end up relying on the hardware mac. So if you have configuration that depends on a specific physical interface, you might as well match it by mac anyway.

@SincereMickey Negative, you should require a special license for driving a small vehicle, and heightened insurance requirements. You are safer in a larger vehicle than a smaller one. More likely to survive. A nutjob like this lambo driver comes along and puts his passengers lives at risk.

@amypretzel Top load master race. My agitator cleans clothes by strong counter spin. Your tumble chamber simply juggles them like a sad clown. When it fails, you will find it standing in a puddle of it's own shame.

unpopular take: the most underrated piece of object engineering in your house is your front-load washer door seal. it's a torus of EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer, picked because it survives hot water + detergent + bleach for 10+ years). it has 3 sealing lips, drainage channels routed to prevent mold, and a bellows geometry that absorbs drum vibration without leaking under 1200 RPM spin. it costs your manufacturer maybe $4. it does more mechanical work than your car's serpentine belt and you've never noticed it. that's the gold standard

Is this the first of its kind? We’ve never seen anything like this before. Stopped by our friends at @SDS_Arms while at @nra 2026 and got our hands on the Tokarev TPA 12, affectionately called the “Butt Pump.” #purveyorsoffreedom #fuelyourfreedom

@bryan_johnson The extent of my drinking experience has been the rare sample glass of beer at a restaurant. And only when I feel I overate. Recently starting bar hopping with a friend. We order 0.0% drinks. I had missed out on the bar social experience until those hit the market.

Friends, stop drinking alcohol. Not cut back. Eliminate. > alcohol increases cortisol > disrupts REM sleep > accelerates epigenetic aging > shrinks hippocampal volume > elevates resting heart rate > raises inflammatory markers > impairs glucose metabolism for 16 hrs One drink does that.

@levelsio Never had this problem @Marriot. I'd say 50% of the time, I can skip the desk entirely with the mobile key. I wish they were as consistent about digital check in as Hilton is. Not a Hilton fan, but skipping the desk is nice. Or just say yes when they ask if you've been there.

The torture of hotels touring you around gets exponentially worse the more you pay They will literally tour you around the whole hotel with their specific opening times of every little area as if you'd ever be able to memorize that It's completely guest hostile especially since most guests come from long flights in sweaty clothes and would love to just get to their room and lie on the bed and chill with AC on max Every $$$ hotel check in script: "Welcome, Mr. _____. Everything's all set for you. Here's your complimentary champagne (?????). My name's Sofia, and I'd love to show you around before I take you up to your room. It'll only take a few minutes, follow me! So this is our lobby, if you ever need anything at all, but only in the day, just come find us here at reception. We're staffed from 8 to 5. Over there is our concierge desk, we can help you with restaurant reservations, taxi bookings, day trips, anything you need. This is our lounge bar. It opens at eleven forty-five and runs until eleven fifty-two at night, later on weekends, we go until midnight on Saturdays but close at eleven thirty-seven on Sundays, just so you know. Happy hour is five twenty to six oh-five, two-for-one on cocktails. Really popular with guests. We also do a complimentary welcome drink, I'll sort that for you once we're done. Our restaurant is just through here. Breakfast is served from six fifty-three to ten twenty-two, buffet style, included in your stay. For lunch and dinner, it's à la carte. I'd recommend booking ahead for dinner, especially on weekends, it fills up fast. Out those doors is the pool, heated, open eight thirteen in the morning until nine forty-nine at night. Towels are provided, just show your key card. The spa is right next door, massages, facials, steam room. You can book at reception or just pop in. It's quietest before nine oh-one if you want the place to yourself. The gym is on the second floor, open twenty-four hours except between three sixteen and three forty-four in the morning when we do a deep clean, all included. And the business center is just past the gym if you need to print anything or use a workstation. Your room is on the fifth floor, great view from up there. The WiFi password is on the card in your welcome folder, same network throughout the whole hotel. And here we are! So, air con controls are here, blackout curtains on this panel, minibar is stocked and refreshed daily at two oh-eight in the afternoon. Safe is in the wardrobe, instructions are inside. If you need extra pillows, towels, anything at all, just dial zero. Is there anything I can help you with right now, or any questions?"

@levelsio Even some of the benefits and niceties of a super nice hotel becomes annoying… no I don’t want you to walk me to my room and show me around, no I don’t want you to come into my room at 9am and get the bed ready for me to sleep, etc

I got there. I was ready to do the rectal measurements for body temp. Then we found a pill solution. It's about the size of a jelly bean and passes through my GI track in around 24 hours. Measures core body temp every minute. Doing it next week. Excited for the data!
Bryan Johnson@bryan_johnson

I've been measuring my core body temperature post sauna with an inner ear device. But it's not accurate enough. That's a problem. The gold standard is rectal. I'm unsure if I can do this. My doctors are now accusing me of not being committed.

@BasedBiohacker What I'd do differently is maintain health for peak physical and mental ability. Never crossing beneath the line where my performance would suffer. That would eliminate some of what I do but 80% would be there.

bryan johnson was NOT tracking 100+ biomarkers, doing blood transfusions with his son and turning down sex to sleep at 8:30 when he was building braintree/ venmo he was dogging it on cheeseburgers, stimulants and zero sleep he was fat. unhappy. suffered from existential doubt. the state of madness that births greatness. he only got into longevity because he lost purpose when he sold his company to paypal for $800 million so no bro, you should not be comparing yourself to nor model your life after what lizard johnson is doing. you can focus on that when you sell your biz for just short of a billion fucking dollars. focus on output and results, not optimizing for 50 years from now. yes - don't nuke your brain with amphetamines and coke, but also don't get so neurotic about health that you sacrifice your potential. max output. max results. you can track your nighttime boners and do total plasma exchanges when you have 100 mill.
