For those that didn’t get it this year just keep your head down, look after your teams and it will come next time. Don’t give up! Thank you to my peers, senior leaders and of course my family for the support over the past 12 months.

It’s been a tough year after last years disappointment with the promotion process. I’m pleased to have received the email from the Chief informing me that I’ve managed to pass the promotion process this year. WBA and I can shed the ‘T’. Huge congrats to those that passed… 1/2

@Conduct_Phill @LincsPolFed We are on it. Two remarkable Officers who should never have been subject to GM proceedings. An IOPC directed Hearing where the evidence served did not establish any breaches of the SPB. On the contrary it proved their innocence. Despite that the IOPC insisted on a Hearing.

A new low point in Case To Answer decision making even for @policeconduct !! This seems so bad it has to be either Gross Incompetence or Deliberate wilful Misconduct from whoever made this decision! I hope Lincs Fed can get the case decision log disclosed and take action.

@m_wardley @leembroad @Rich_Cooke1 The misconduct regs are now worthless. If a Chief or Head of vetting don't like the sanction they will dismiss anyway. Locally our appeals go to.... The Head of Vetting who made the original decision so they can review it. It's like a real life Blackadder sketch.

For those wishing to support the status quo refer yourself to the Winsor review and Hutton report and ask yourself how did my ‘unique’ status protect me from: Pension erosion? A real term pay cut of 20%? A mission creep by police chiefs into conduct regulations to sack me?

@remmy_308 For those who may wish to support this dangerous and irresponsible action, ask yourself: What is the likely outcome? - Changes to working hours - Changes to overtime allowances - Contracts - "Flick of the switch" changes to public service

@kennyfritz2146 @leembroad @Rich_Cooke1 We have JR pending (‘Dismissal’ by way of Reg 13 following a vetting withdrawal after a FWW at a misconduct meeting. Reserved judgment due end of August). Looks like we may have another JR soon as a result the new guidance!

@leembroad @Rich_Cooke1 The latest on vetting is an absolute disaster that represents a clear and present danger to all serving officers. It circumvents the misconduct process and will allow Chiefs to dismiss officers at will. I naively thought we had at least some semblance of democracy. I was wrong.

Challenging Fed week just gone. On-call yielded two nights out of bed at Post Incident Procedure (excellently run, solidly supported by @m_wardley) assisting officers returning from traumatic incident. Then next night called to support officers negotiating with 16yr old in crisis

New challenge ahead for me! Temporary promotion to Sergeant working in the town I started my career in. I’m going to miss my residents but I needed a new challenge. 🔆
