Iran says it has presented an 8-point framework (described as part of a wider 10-point plan) to the American side through Pakistan as the basis for negotiations in Islamabad: 1. Organized passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iranian armed forces 2. An end to the war against all components of the Resistance Axis 3. Withdrawal of all US combat forces from bases and deployment sites across the region 4. A safe-passage protocol for Hormuz that formally recognizes Iran’s control under the agreement 5. Full compensation payments to Iran based on official damage estimates 6. Lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions 7. Release of all Iranian assets frozen abroad 8. Final ratification through a binding UN Security Council decision The statement says these principles will be the sole basis for two weeks of negotiations in Islamabad, while stressing that this does not yet mark the end of the war.

Personally, I see the banks pricing in $157 oil. It wouldn't surprise me if it hits $200. I'll reiterate, 157, but not surprised at 200. In terms of forecast, I will actually put it at 157.49. Sad times.

At the iConnections Global Alts Conference in Miami, gold is hardly ever discussed. If it comes up at all, it is usually dismissed as a relic or ignored entirely.

Not this year.

On a main stage panel featuring @VD718 Vincent Daniel of Seawolf Capital, Danny Moses of The Danny Moses Show @dmoses34 and On The Tape, and Meredith Whitney of Meredith Whitney Advisory Group, moderated by @GuyAdami of @RiskReversal Media, gold was discussed positively and with conviction.

They talked about debasement, structural deficits, central bank accumulation and policy, physical delivery constraints, the issues with paper gold and silver via ETFs. China accumulating physical gold. They discussed silver shortages tied to EVs, solar, and data centers. All the topics we cover extensively @MilesFranklinCo 

When gold moves from niche macro conversations to institutional panels at a global alts investment conference, that is a signal.

@ClemChambers @AlanJLSmith No one was in a rush to buy gold at that point, because it was pre-internet and everyone believed what they were being sold through the MSM. MMT. Modern Monetary Theory, or Magic Money Tree is having less time in the sun than mini discs.

Between 1999–2002, Gordon Brown sold 395 tonnes of our gold at around $275/oz - about half of our reserves. Today that same gold is worth £47B+. One of the worst financial decisions made by a modern government.
