Valve has been receiving a large number of shipments labeled “Game Consoles” at its US distribution warehouse over the past couple of weeks, according to Brad Lynch. These shipments follow a big wave of new Steam Controller units. Most people expect the new arrivals are for the upcoming Steam Machine and possibly the Steam Frame too. Some stock could be for Steam Deck restocks, but the size of the shipments and the “Game Consoles” label suggest Valve is ramping up production for the Steam machine

If Republicans aggressively gerrymander the South and eliminate up to 10 Democratic seats under a narrowed VRA, Democrats could become desperate and respond with absurd maps in blue states. This 17-0 Illinois map could become legal, flipping three seats from 🔴 to 🔵.

I would support this just to provide more opportunities for PR systems through state laws. However, I would prefer to go the extra mile and make MMDs the standard and have some form of open list system.
People during this whole Gerrymander war keep talking about "fairness and proportionality" from statewide popular votes, so it makes sense to just take these arguments and apply a system that appeals to them.

At this point, why not repeal the VRA-adjacent 1967 Uniform Congressional Districts Act and legalize multi-member or statewide at-large districts (but without proportional representation).
