I had the privilege of co-chairing the High-Level Dialogue between OAS and EU teams in Brussels with @eu_eeas Managing Director @DelphinePronk, alongside senior officials including Special Representative for Human Rights @KajsaOllongren, Christian Burgsmüller, Stephan Klement, and Neal MacCall. Managing Director Pronk reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to elevating political dialogue and strengthening cooperation on governance, security, and electoral processes. I highlighted the work of @OAS_official in democracy, human rights, security, and development, and we exchanged views on regional challenges and opportunities to deepen cooperation. We underscored the interconnected nature of today’s global crises and the importance of a strong rules-based international order. I also shared my vision for peace and prosperity in the Americas through a Peace Agenda focused on democracy, human rights, and security, and a Prosperity Agenda centered on jobs, healthcare, education, trade, and investment. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the EU to deliver tangible benefits for our member states.
