This could be the most productive Sunday of your life. The NASDAQ has been up seven days in a row, it will open deep in the red on Monday. Make a list of the stocks that have risen the most. Pick the top 10 and make that your buy list. The next time the market is down, you buy exactly those stocks. You don’t improvise. You don’t come up with new names or new ideas. These are the only stocks you buy. To crowdsource this take, comment below with your favorite stock and how much it’s up over the last 7 days-ideally include a chart. If it’s not up at least 10%, don’t waste our time. I’ll go first: $AMZN

The F12 has been sat for a couple of weeks so I recorded the cold start. Not been plugged into a trickle so struggled but started nicely and loudly!

I wanted to love the 12 Cillindri so much but just look at this build quality. For a brand new £400k car it’s not good.

Losses are a part of who I am. There is no such thing as a trader with a 100% win rate. I am well aware if you pursue greater returns, you must be willing to shoulder the risks. I have no idea why ppl assume I would hide my losses. That’s exactly why I just went ahead and posted it.

@cirnosad The quality is different, US shale is light sweet and Iraqi oil is medium/heavy sour

@macrocephalopod Aslong as they can conceptually understand what they’re in principle doing and learn from their mistakes, I would encourage them

What’s a good age to give my kid a sub-account of her trust fund to manage, pick stocks for etc? I want to introduce her to the idea of deep research, conviction bets, and good risk management. Is seven too young?

If you pick a more physically relevant scale- say, 1 meter instead of the size of the universe- then you get the limit to be around 200 perfect qubits. Well above current capabilities, but not into the realm of things that are particularly useful.

I have discovered a beautiful proof of the impossibility of building a useful quantum computer, but tragically the implications have instantly turned me into a physics crank of the highest order. I will become the weirdo sending unsolicited emails to grad students shortly.
