@OneAussieChick Because the government should work for the people. I can’t control what private companies do

All those folks demanding Albo cut fuel taxes, here’s a question for you
Why aren’t you demanding petrol produces cut their profit?
Why should tax payers assume the burden while big petro companies skate by?

@DaveMilbo Their policies aren’t mainstream appealing to inner city progressives. Bob brown said it recently that if they are to get a larger voting base they need centrist policies

@TruthFairy131 @Leevirtue Says the woman who was granted a government contract for jobseekers
English

One of Australia's richest women- Sarina Russo has slammed Aussies who complain about the cost of living crisis, telling them they should pick up a second or third job to help make ends meet.
Many of the people ‘complaining’ already work full time hours, Sarina thinks you shouldn’t spend any time with your family & that you should work 3 jobs just to meet your basic needs because of Government FAILURES.
The CAUSE of inflation & the cost of living crisis is LABOR spending so yes we BLAME Albo & LABOR.
Talk about out of touch.
The nerve of the woman 🤨

BREAKING: Labor is halving the fuel excise which will reduce the cost of petrol and diesel by 26.3c per litre.
The Albanese Government will halve the fuel excise for three months from April and cut the Heavy Vehicle Road User Charge to zero to help with the cost of living.
This is on top of boosting fuel supply, supporting our domestic refineries, empowering the ACCC with bigger penalties for misconduct, and strengthening international supply chains.
People are under cost-of-living pressure and a lot of that pressure is being piled on at the petrol pump as a direct result of the conflict in the Middle East.

@Matt_Camenzuli The Libs are just hellbent on never being in government. ON is going to teach them a few lessons

@JacintaAllanMP @joelcardwellX You know most people will be taking holidays because of school term break. You know that the extra demand will cripple this state
English

Canadian leadership wants to expand its "High Quality Medical Care" to include allowing children (12 & up) the ability to decide for themselves if they want the state to kill them via their ever-expanding (and evil) MAiD program.
They're even pushing to not loop the parents in on the decision. Their consent wouldn't even be sought or required.
Read that again.
Canada is lost.

English

@jeff_kennett No it’s not a good idea Jeff. There’s barely enough services to cater to this exploding population. Adding additional demand will just cripple the system

In her new memoir, actress Christina Applegate shares devastating diary entries from the time she got pregnant but sacrificed her child in 1991.
The "Married with Children" star clearly knows exactly what's happening as she chooses her career over the life of the baby, who she says "to this day, I know" was a daughter.
"I love this being… I always felt that if I ever got pregnant when I knew it was the wrong time, I wouldn’t have any problem having an ab**tion. ‘Oh, whatever. It isn’t even a baby yet.’ That’s bullsh*t. This creature’s incredible- makes me feel whole, safe."

“I’m f*cking pregnant, and I’m k*lling my child on Thursday. I’m thinking, ‘Where the f*ck can I go to recuperate from m*rder?’"
Applegate went on to write a poem to the unborn baby, asking for forgiveness.
"Hello, little thing. I feel you every moment of my day. Such a tiny existence. Such an immense effect you have. You are a miracle. A tiny handed miracle. I love you, but you know your fate. It’s not your time. I know you didn’t make that decision, but it can’t be your time. You will live on, though. You will live through another. I hope you will forgive me, but I want you to know how you’ve changed me. You’ve opened my eyes. You’re letting me know something is more important than myself. But mommy can’t be with you right now. But know she loves you- more than any other miracle. And know that when it’s your time it will be your time."

@nettermike Took bloody long enough. There should be an apology to women who suffered at the hands of cheats and medals should be removed. Then we will have full justice

She was elected to lead the Olympics as its first female president. Her first major decision: ban transgender women from women's events.
Kirsty Coventry, a two time Olympic gold medalist in swimming from Zimbabwe, became the first woman to lead the International Olympic Committee in its 132 year history when she was elected president in June 2025. One of her first major decisions was launching a review of female category protections in Olympic sport.
On March 26, 2026, the IOC Executive Board approved a 10 page policy banning transgender women from all female events at the Olympics starting with the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Eligibility is now limited to biological females verified by a one time SRY gene screening. Athletes who test negative are permanently eligible. The policy also restricts most athletes with differences in sex development, including two time Olympic champion Caster Semenya.
Coventry said the policy protects fairness, safety, and integrity, adding that "even the smallest margins can be the difference between victory and defeat."
