A priest named Vijay Pandit attempted to rape a 10-year-old Dalit girl inside a temple. When action was taken against the accused under the POCSO Act, the entire Brahmin community surrounded the police station in support of the accused. A Muslim student posted a video describing a threatening encounter he faced while traveling for exams. He said that at Delhi station, a man approached him and said, “If you kill a cow, I will kill you.” The student explained that the person was trying to provoke them into reacting so they could be sent to jail. He urged fellow students traveling for exams from Hyderabad to Delhi to stay alert. He warned that some people might try to mislead or provoke them, especially targeting Muslims based on appearance, such as wearing kurta-pajama. He asked viewers to take care of themselves during travel and to share the video with other students heading to exams, so they are aware of such risks. @TheObserverPost

After replugging our explainer video on Kunan Poshpora on @MaktoobMedia, I have been receiving dozens of calls, many of them threatening, insisting that “nothing happened” in those villages and that any attempt to speak about it is a defamation of the armed forces. A complete denial! Yesterday, men affiliated with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) barged into the campus of Azim Premji University and attacked a student. The only so-called “trigger”? A student reading circle had announced a discussion on Kunan Poshpora. The attempt is always the same: intimidate, threaten, deny, erase. If they can force silence, they believe history itself will disappear. Remembering is an act of resistance. And perhaps that is precisely why it frustrates them.

The Constitution guarantees equality (Art 14), prohibits discrimination (Art 15), and protects life & dignity (Art 21). Sarma’s Assam has systematically violated all three for Bengali Muslims; mass evictions, bulldozers on graveyards, now literal “shooting” imagery. Supreme Court in Zafar Ahmed Sareshwala noted demographic fears don’t justify communal targeting. In Tehseen Poonawalla, SC held states must prevent hate crimes. In Amish Devgan, SC said free speech ends where hate begins. This video violates every standard. 1.2M views means 1.2M people saw a state CM symbolically execute Muslims. Tomorrow, someone inspired by this will commit actual violence, and Himanta’s hands will be soaked in that blood. Constitutional patriots don’t stay silent when fascism wears saffron. Genocide enabler

In Rajasthan, 'cow vigilantes' claiming to be associated with Bajrang Dal and VHP beat up a 'mentally ill elderly man' on the charge of eating beef. The man cries out in pain, "Aiyo Appa!" Another member of the crowd retorts, "He's a Muslim after all." Alt News contacted Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar to gather more information on the matter. He stated that after receiving a video of the incident, police arrested three people on charges of disturbing the peace. Speaking with Alt News, Aklera Police Station Inspector Dharamram stated that a mentally disturbed man was sitting near the remains of a dead cow near Aklera town. The accused assaulted him. Inspector Dharamram also stated that the man often roams around the area and left after the assault by boarding a train. Police stated that once the victim is found, a complaint will be filed on his behalf and action will be taken. Police identified the assaulters as Rakesh Rao, Ajay Pareta, and Rohan Sen. Taking cognizance of the video, police charged three accused with assault and arrested them and remanded them to judicial custody. But within a day or two, all the three accused were out on bail.

This is Juyel Rana Sheikh, a 19-year-old Muslim youth who travelled from West Bengal to Odisha to earn his livelihood. He was stopped, asked for his Aadhaar card, and forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram.” He was called a Bangladeshi. He is no more. He was beaten to death. Two of his friends were injured in the attack. Last week, Ram Narayan Baghel, a Dalit youth who travelled from Chhattisgarh to Kerala to earn his livelihood, was stopped by a group of men identified as Hindutva associates and killed after being labelled a Bangladeshi. He was brutally beaten and later succumbed to his injuries. Labelling people as “Bangladeshi” has become a manufactured and dangerous pretext used by Hindutva cadres to target and kill Muslims and Dalits.
