There's so much I want to do with this business. If only I didn't have so much to do in this business.

Built a tiny CLI tool that logs what i ship. Writes to a JSON file, uploads to R2, renders on my site as a live changelog (madhugb.com/now). Added markdown support today so i can actually hyperlink things in my updates. small thing. weirdly satisfying. Whole thing is ~200 lines of code. sometimes that's all you need. #buildinpublic #nowpage

@karpathy Current IDEs are designed for writing. reading is just coincidental. We need a different form of IDE where the reading and reviewing is primary focus not writing code. A genuinely reading-first IDE would treat code more like a knowledge graph you explore than a document you edit.
Andrej Karpathy@karpathy

Expectation: the age of the IDE is over Reality: we’re going to need a bigger IDE (imo). It just looks very different because humans now move upwards and program at a higher level - the basic unit of interest is not one file but one agent. It’s still programming.

Seems like @claudeai Auth service is down. Unable to complete /login for sometime now. On a separate note, clicking `Authorize` should ideally show some visual feedback #claudecode

Software Architecture / Design should reflect reality, not anxiety. People spend way too much time optimising for things that aren't going to happen. I've been seeing the LLM generated code also have this behaviour, because they have been trained on our anxiety

Trying to add Login with Microsoft feature for one of my hobby things, for like 6 hours now. I guess login with Microsoft has to wait! What should i do here? I have tried to re login for like 10+ times, i've used 2 different email ids, (one live.in and another gmail.com, both show similar error with interaction required) Not the onboarding experience I was looking for 😥

AI eliminated the natural barrier to entry that let OSS projects trust by default. People told me to do something rather than just complain. So I did. Introducing Vouch: explicit trust management for open source. Trusted people vouch for others. github.com/mitchellh/vouch The idea is simple: Unvouched users can't contribute to your projects. Very bad users can be explicitly "denounced", effectively blocked. Users are vouched or denounced by contributors via GitHub issue or discussion comments or via the CLI. Integration into GitHub is as simple as adopting the published GitHub actions. Done. Additionally, the system itself is generic to forges and not tied to GitHub in any way. Who and how someone is vouched or denounced is up to the project. I'm not the value police for the world. Decide for yourself what works for your project and your community. All of the data is stored in a single flat text file in your own repository that can be easily parsed by standard POSIX tools or mainstream languages with zero dependencies. My hope is that eventually projects can form a web of trust so that projects with shared values can share their vouch lists with each other (automatically) so vouching or denouncing a person in one project has ripple effects through to other projects. The idea is based on the already successful system used by @badlogicgames in Pi. Thank you Mario. Ghostty will be integrating this imminently.

A year ago, everyone wanted to build UI for things that are terminal commands, Today people are replacing UI with terminal commands.

@lucaslovexoxo @jamespotter I do have S3 configured with custom domain. my main problem is how do I ask our user to shift since this is going to break existing updates form current Sparkle setup ( keys will differ so the signed updates will break)

@madospace @jamespotter That depends on how you currently host your updates. S3 is one supported storage backend, which supports existing setups. Some developers already switched to Amore to self-publish updates via S3. DM me to get started :) amore.computer/help/s3-bucket/

I highly recommend amore.computer by my friend @lucaslovexoxo if you want to build macOS apps without going through Apple's annoying App Store approval dance (and 30% tax!) It works great for WhyFi - very easy to do OTA updates

A friend built an app and shared it online. It went viral. He shipped it to hundreds of people on the same day using Amore. So happy that my original vision slowly comes to fruition. More updates soon.
